Black Dog Family Restaurant

My sister and I stopped in to have a late lunch on our way home from Dalihas flower farm and we both got the greek burger, hers was gluten free but I love my carbs lol. Delicious burger!!

If you're looking for a 5 star wine and dine experience then look elsewhere. However if you're looking for a laid back, cheap but quality pub food head on in to the Black Dog.I have frequented this restaurant many times in the past 7 months and can't say I recall ever having a bad experience. The staff are friendly and courteous, and the meals are quite tasty.My only complaint would be is it needs to get more British pub classics in there. I know you couldn't keep me away if they offered pub fries (cut fries with a curry sauce). I'd be there regularly for lunch.

One of the few restaurants in Stirling, so we were hoping it would be good.They cannot label their restaurant as Family Friendly" when they do not have change tables in their bathrooms. I had to change my baby on the bathroom floor.The shepherds pie was flavorless

My mom used to live here and I came to the restaurant and enjoyed it the food was really good. But in the last couple years I have came here 2 and they were not open the first time I didn’t know the hours so it was fine but today it advertised that they were open on google and Facebook. And we got out of the car and the lady told us they were closed. It’s an hour drive for us.

Just had an awful experience at this restaurant. Firstly the table was still dirty when we were told to sit down. We ordered draft drinks which were flat. We ordered a starter which came out 1 minute before our actual meals. The waitress said sorry they must have been fast in the kitchen. So our meals sat on our table until we were ready to eat. Get to the entrees. The chicken and ravioli was soupy and the broccoli was still frozen. Worst part of all was the 50 plus flies landing on our food and us while we tried to eat. It was awful. The only time the server said anything anything us was when she was ready to ask if we wanted our bill mid moutful. All around not a good experience.

The staff were really friendly and the food was good, but I find the overwhelming smell of air freshener or fragrance diffusers to be far, far too much to be enjoyable. It ruins the taste of your meal. Should not have stuff like that where you serve food it affects the olfactory senses and changes the taste of your food or wine. The restaurant is also rather dark. I would recommend the food for take out but not to eat inside.

We all enjoyed our food and drinks. Every thing was delicious, service excellent. We made reservations and they say us in an area by ourselves, so it was like private dining experience. Definitely returning again.

Great ambiance, lacking in both food and service. Service was poor - they forgot that we were there at all, then couldn’t really advise on food (or drinks), then mixed up the order of one of the peeps in our party, and burnt her burger, and then my food wasn’t so great, either in flavour or in texture, and then we had to wait for our check for quite a while, too. The only thing that I would recommend from several bar foods and regular menu items that we tried is fried mushrooms. Another good thing is that kids menu actually has kids-sized portions, and the straws are made of paper!

Sadly my first time and not a great impressionI had onion soup and a club sandwich. The soup was decent. The sandwich had a lot to be desired. While eating the restroom was taken out of service.

Great food, good service, and good prices. I would go back for sure. We had the Cowboy Burger, the Shepherd's pie, and a poutine. No complaints, the burger is as good as you can get anywhere. Fries are perfect. Would recommend to anyone!
