Cathers Lake Beach
Pros: you're lake front surrounded by trees, lily pads, turtles, birds, and Mount Benson in the background. Cons: you're also directly beside two private properties, and there's not much room for anything more than one person on a blanket. This is not really a beach or park, more like a patch of grass beside a lake. No amenities whatsoever (toilet, bench, garbage can), but it's a sweet spot if you're the right person!

Cathers Lake Beach
This little park is a secret in Nanaimo. I passed by here numerous times and never stopped. One day I needed to fix a small repair on my bike. My safety was important so just ahead was a convenient post and I walked my bike. I was speechless at the scene of the place,most is private property but one small spot is all I needed to take a pic.
