Fusion Apartments

Just wanted to write a review for Fusion Apartments. Joseph and his management team are great. Always responds to issues in a timely manager and with professionalism. The apartment itself is great, comfortable and secure. I’ve been living here since April 2019 and haven’t had a single issue. 5 stars

Myself and daughter moved into Fusion Apartments November 2020 and enjoy our living accommodations. It is pet friendly and has amenities that would otherwise be available if not for COVID-19 restrictions. The property managers, Joseph and Michelle, are very professional and helpful. Any issue the apartment unit has had has been promptly addressed and dealt with. Joseph and Michelle are very thorough in the services provided. I am very satisfied with their property management etiquette and give them 5 stars. Keep up the good work Joseph and Michelle.

The apartment itself is alright and appliances and the unit layout are good in general.The real problem here is that it’s VERY noisy. I really mean it. If you live in any of the units facing the 96th avenue you won’t have a single day of silence and peace. The price also is a bit high compared to other condos in central surrey and even townhomes in south.

The overall rental experience is no where near the “Luxury Rental” the agency advertises itself as and the rental fees they charge.- This building has thin walls where your neighbour’s alarm may wake you up. You can hear your upstairs neighbours walking around too, especially if you sleep relatively early.- The elevators smell like smoke and weed more often than not. Sometimes you also smell second-hand smoke in your own unit if your windows/balcony door are open. This is advertised as a NON-smoke building, and management doesn’t seem to be regulating smoking.- Your mail packages may (very possibly) get stolen if they are left in the mailroom area. Again, building manager says there is nothing they can do even with a camera at the mailroom area.- The compost bins are FILLED with live flies + dead flies sticking on the bins. Every time you open the lid, files will swamp out.- The office in the lobby is often closed during posted office hours (for both the original office hours and the updated office hours).- Maintenance technician makes valid requests seem like a favour from him and will try to minimize issues whenever possible.- No ground-level stopping area for cars, only underground parking with a clearance limit. All delivery/moving trucks and anybody who needs to stop by will need to illegally stop on the busy street (96th ave) or on the parkade ramp.- Parking lot and P1/P2 lobby are dirty and that is seen as normal. You can always spot broken/poorly maintained things on the property.The dog park and unit layouts are great. Higher managements are more reasonable, but the day-to-day living quality is low. If you have a viewing scheduled, please don’t forget to visit their garage room/compost bins.

Safety is extremely compromised in this building. Do NOT rent here.It’s been at least 3 weeks where this building’s fob system doesn’t work (doors/gates won’t respond to fob to open). Apparently the company Centurion doesn’t know how to fix the fob system because “they weren’t the ones who built it”.The management’s “solution” is to leave all entry doors, exit doors, and garage gates open so people can get in. This means ANYONE can get into the building and parking. Anyone can take the elevator up to any floor.This is especially dangerous considering Whalley is a high crime area. There has been break-ins in the building and the front gate of this building is all banged up. Every night I have a hard time falling asleep and worry about break-ins.Multiple residents have voiced concerns about this safety issue. Upper management seems not care about the safety of their residents at all.

Honestly I don’t get all the complaints I really enjoyed living here. I always felt safe. The staff were very helpful and when I had an issue it was quickly resolved. Lived here for a year and it was an overwhelmingly positive experience. I would have stayed longer if I wasn’t moving for work. Honestly don’t pay any mind to the negativity it’s inaccurate and people love to complain but won’t take the time to say anything when it’s good. Trust your gut and how you feel about the apartment itself. It’s you that will be living there.

Besides having my original review removed lol; I’ve been here for 3 years now and as of location being good and all the apartment itself has settled and the doors inside, closet doors, balcony doors and balcony itself has shifted and makes it difficult to keep the doors closed and you can see on your balcony things are a bit tilted. The worse thing I find is that you can hear everything beside, below and above your neighbours from conversations to them sneezing. That being said, if you have people above you who are noisy they will ruin your peace of mind. The managers are pretty good now besides having over 4 different managements in 3 years but we could atleast have some security by now for the homeless who have access to the building or do there stuff right near the enterence doors.

Management is so negligent it's not even funny. Do not move here. It's insane they keep getting away with their incompetence.

I've been around enough to see several companies and building managers come and go. Some were very rude and disrespectful, with some not around at all. Since Centurion has taken over, I could really see the building turn around in the most positive way. Joseph the building manager really understands the concept of how to manage and run a building. Mind you he is pretty much cleaning up the mess from what the previous managers have done, and I must say he is doing a great job! Comments and concerns are addressed timely which I highly appreciate too.

-The staffs have a lack of organization and provide bads services. Principally with the moove-in and moove-out inspections. With the help from the Property Manager, we evite 250$ of extra-charges, for damages that we did'nt cause.-Last summer, we received our apartment in bad conditions, as dusty ceiling ventilation, dirty fridge and windows, grassy oven and the microwaves use to have kid sticker on it. Some walls use to have holes, scratches and big trace of bad painting in the bedroom.During our move-in, the staff make us sign the inspection sheet in exchange of our unit keys. We told him that were not confortable to sign the document (already fill), because we did'nt did the inspection with him. He said to not worry about it, that everything was inspected before our arrive.We did'nt agree with his answer and decided to film our unit, just in case that he decide to charging us for any damages on our final inspection. We were suspicious, because we saw a lot of bad Reviews with extra-charges.We spent 2 days cleaning up everything during our moving-in and also before our final inspection. We also covered somes scratches on the wall that were there when we received it.The staff in charge of our final inspection, gave to us 250$ of damages. We did'nt agree with that, so I show to him my video dated with the inital inspection and the staff was pretty closed-mind and ignore it. As 50$ for the oven, that was clearly dirty over years. (We were only tenants for 7 months) And 200$ for the painting walls.  He said it’s a friendly price, because otherwise the price would be 500$. And that their staffs have also a bill to pay for the painting wall. We learn later that the total charge for repainting our unit was 997.50$. He tryed to victimize himself from the dammages that we did'nt cause.I decided to took an other video, as a proof for our final inspection and took pictures of all the documents signed. (Moove-in and moove-out) He put a lot pressure on us requesting to sign the damages agreements charges, or we will pay more extra charges for not being on time.-Make shure to take the copy of your contract (staff did'nt gave it to us and responded that wasn't necessary). At least take in picture all documents signed, even screen shot of conversations. It might be helpful later.-We use to pay an extra month 1600$. When the staff told us the 1st day that everything was good, for 6 months flexibles, without promotion. Staff said that we did'nt have to cancel anything, because it wasn't a year contract. You have to cancel 30 days before! (BC Residential Tenancies)-Staff ignored problems reported with pictures, as infestation of centipedes last summer in the parking.-It's noisy everyday... at 7:00 am, workers do the mower, the leaf blowers and emergency services are noisy at 2:00 am.On a positive note, the Property Manager replied fastly to us and did a good investigation. We believe the organization will be better and our reviews might be helpful.Best regards.
