My son has learned so much so far and loves the reward program. As a parent, I’m happy my son is excited about extra learning. I love the detail and progress reports.

Don't waste your money. This place did not help me. They take your money with little value in return. I originally thought my parents pulled me. Not too long ago I was told that this learning centre said my only problem was having a low self esteem. Turns out they didn't actually work towards finding out what I was struggling with. Years later I've been unofficially diagnosed with dyslexia and high functioning Autism Spectrum. They failed to assess where my learning difficulties were. They could have directed my parents towards further testing which may have improved my quality of life years later but instead they basically said I didn't need assistance in learning. You pay all that money, one would think they'd provide further testing or at the very least connect me with the people who could provide further testing. They really aren't invested in their clients learning. If they were then, at the very least my dyslexia would have been discovered and they would have taught me how I learn. They failed me. If there's one thing I know, one client failed by Sylvan Learning Center means they have failed others. I can't possibly be the only one. All they really are is just a glorified tutor. I'd recommend going elsewhere when trying to identify your child's learning difficulties. They failed to identify my dyslexia. They failed to identify my high functioning Autism. To be fair however, it's relatively easy to miss autistic traits in girls but they should have at least made a way for my dyslexia to be discovered as opposed to just dismissing my obvious learning difficulties. If I had children I'd seek higher professional resources as opposed to paying for a glorified tutor. If all you seek is a simple tutor maybe, if they like you, they'll keep you around and be of some help. They are just not well enough trained to really identify learning difficulties. If you already know your child's learning difficulties then maybe they'd be of some help... maybe.Update:At the time I lived in Ladner. I see no reason why my parents would have taken me to any location that would have been a greater distance to travel. And I really can't see how you would have any records dating at least 35 years ago. Thanks for the apology. I still will never recommend people invest in Sylvan unless what they seek is just tutoring.
