Jill and the Beanstalk

I first discovered Jill and the Beanstalk during my maternity leave 3 years ago. Its a wonderful space in the neighbourhood with a spacious play space, beautifully picked products and equally awesome owners. Since being back at work my visits aren't as frequent but its always a great place to check out consignment pieces or to pick up a birthday gift.I decided to pick up a few puzzles/learning resources this weekend for my kids and my package was delivered only a few hours later. The JIll's are definitely helping with social distancing by delivering fun goodies to help pass the time. THANK YOU!!

Great shop for all your kiddo needs. Their clothing exchange is the best.Ensure you bring a cash donation or a bag of clothes to exchange as it's been getting very busy over the years.

Jill is literally a life saver! I buy as much as I can at this store. Always enjoy our chats and have done music classes, a photo shoot and the hand and foot imprints at Jill’s shop. She’s a fantastic person and I love her business!

Was in town from the US and looking for a couple of gifts to bring back from Toronto for my son. Superb service and such cool stuff! Owner was super friendly and will certainly make an effort to stop in anytime in the future that I'm back in the city!

Love this store! I live in the neighbourhood and have been coming here since my daughter was 4 months she’s now 15 months. It’s a great welcoming space. The Jills are amazing and put on such a fun song circle. My daughter is in love. They also have so many fun and unique toys and products at competitive prices. This store is what being part of a community is all about.

I feel so lucky to have Jill & the Beanstalk as part of my community! It’s amazing to have a local, independent space to purchase well-curated children’s products picked by kind, caring owners...PLUS, they have free song circles throughout the week! These were a lifeline for me in my babe’s early days. I’ve also attended several excellent workshops there, from potty training to sleep training. Both Jills are amazing humans and I love supporting this local business!

Back in 2016 I was pregnant for the first time, and walking along College St. I found this store in its infancy and have loved checking in when I can these past 6 years. The owners are wonderful people, who genuinely care about their clients and the Toronto community at large. They host clothing swaps every few months, and donate the rest to worthy causes. My son enjoyed free song circles there as a baby/toddler, and I went for a Starting Solids workshop, run by Nishta Saxena. They offer an amazing selection of products that are carefully curated for conscious parents. My go to product from there is Zoe's Corner Calendula Oil. This is a skincare staple in our home! They offer delivery for orders over $60 which is great if you can't make it in store. A phenomenal small business certainly worth checking out!

Positively the best! As someone who doesn't have babies, and I was shopping for a baby that likely already has everything it needs - the cheerful and enthusiastic ladies at this store truly had a positive impact on my shopping experience. They made me an age appropriate gift package, and explained the benefits of item. The store even sells locally made goods, has a community space/classes, and consignment clothes for new parents. I would 100% recommend this little gem.

If I could give 10 out of 5 I would. This place is a must! Not only it has an enormous variety of toys, organic foods, gears and other baby/children necessities it also serves as a community. There are classes inside the store, there is gently used amazing clothing and the owner cares for mothers and children so much! They always bring some new products and services. I’ve enjoyed doing a clay workshop (my daughter’s hand print), First AID class, sleep class, sign language and music courses and can’t imagine motherhood without the support and knowledge of the team at JillandtheBeanstalk. It’s like they HAVE everything you need and can SUPPORT you with ANYTHING you need. They truly care and are lovely to be around. My daughter loves going there. I even made life long friendships through that store, and don’t feel like I am alone in this journey which I am VERY grateful for. I truly Love this store, Love their always coolest products and Love the people who work there! The owner and the rest of the team have children themselves so they know what’s needed and will honestly tell you what’s NOT. Jill is always looking to bring the best and newest toys/ gears etc even if you don’t see something on the shelf and you ask her it’s very likely she has it or can order it! They also do FREE song circle and clothing swap. You can feel the welcome and love and care when you go in. Best store ever! So glad I found it.

Great little store. Tons of cool baby stuff, but also some neat things for older kids. Excellent diverse options... Dolls with skin that isn't just white, books about Black kids, and books with generally diverse characters. Also, the service was helpful and friendly.
