Popular sushi spot with lots of fun rolls to choose from. Aside from the sushi restaurant staples, Sushi Mugen levels it up with their 12-piece Epic Rolls" which has all the fixings and all the sauce. Dishes are beautifully presented and worth every shot for the social. Not the biggest restaurant so expect to wait for a table even on weeknights."

First time eating at sushi mugen! We loved it! The presentation was great, price was reasonable, and sushi were flavourful! I am excited to go back to try more :)! Definitely recommend! The restaurant is quite busy and usually have a small line up though :P our favourite is the yummy yummy roll!

Creative renditions of Japanese cuisine with flashy aesthetics!For me, the visuals were the main show - each dish was presented distinctly and creatively with an obvious attention to glamour and theatrics. Very cool plates! But to be honest, when it comes to the quality of the fish or execution of the dishes themselves, I was not too impressed… most rolls were completely drenched in overpowering sauces that totally covered the taste of the fish. When you’re talking about sushi, I’d expect the main show to be centered on the quality of the fish itself, rather than the sauces/toppings. For example, a regular “spicy tuna maki” was basically swimming in a ketchup-consistency red sauce on top that neither tasted good nor served the essence of the dish. Not a winner for me when it comes to the sushi or the appetizer dishes…Nonetheless, a memorable dining experience with some dazzling plate designs!

Definitely my favorite sushi restaurant! They have a wide variety of sushi to order from - and main dishes not yet included! My favorites are their Dragon Roll, Crazy Boy Roll, and their Beef/Chicken Yakisoba! MY go-to appetizer here has always been their Agedashi Tofu. They have impressive plating as well! We recently tried their Salmon Oshi Sushi just to have a fancier way to eat lol and we always go here for simple celebrations! :)

Had sashimi lunch box for $19. Excellent food, good service, and nice setting. I am especially impressed by the tenderness of the octopus sashimi.

Great little sushi place with amazing food presentation! As a vegetarian, the sushi I had here was the best I've ever had! I loved the Lulu mango roll!!! It was my ideal sushi, sweet and savory with tropical mango flavor and sweet black sesame sauce! I was full from just that roll and the agedashi tofu(also delicious!) and i ended up taking most of my other vegetable roll to go.

Best sushi experience! We ordered assorted tuna rolls and sashimi. They were fresh and melt in your mouth delicious! For the high quality of the sushi, price was very decent. Would come again on my next visit to Vancouver!

I recently ordered from this sushi restaurant and unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the quality of their maki rolls and nigiri. The attached pictures clearly show how poorly the rolls were put together, and the nigiri didn't have a one-piece fish per sushi. This was a letdown as presentation and authenticity are important aspects of a sushi dining experience. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively to improve their offerings in the future.

We had a reservation and three workers just passed by us, didn't even acknowledge us for awhile.Food was great. Wasn't able to order Asahi because they were out of them, Sapporo took a long time. Got it when we were half way done our food.

The food was a bit sweet for my profile and it was everything. It's not a bad place for dinner or lunch if you tend towards a sweeter palate. We got the oshi spicy tuna, soft shell crab, yakisoba, udon and don buri chicken katsu. We also had the triple spicy role and gyoza spicy and none. We went with a big group are we're super hungry! I like the ambiance that they had an upstairs that overlooked the street. Cute casual place!The servers were very nice. Overall I didn't love the sweet flavor in everything except the udon.
