The Gateway

Helpful staff. Good location, not too far away from the hot springs. The room was a bit small, with nowhere to sit except the bed. A little noisy with the highway outside. Still, the Gateway is a nice place to stay in Radium.

Great little hotel. Clean rooms, helpful staff, yummy breakfast, super friendly owners. They own Screamers now too so you can get breakfast there and get a small discount for staying at the hotel. Will definitely be staying there when I come back.

If you don't mind the sound of transport trucks going by your window every 2 minutes, bring ear plugs. Not a great place to get any sleep, poor location on a noisy, high traffic road. The rooms on the other hand were clean and well made. The included breakfast at the ice cream cafe down the road, Screamers, was really not tasty or impressive, save your time and go to A&W for breakfast.

Simple Motel, but very lovely and perfect location. Small accommodations, but cozy and clean, can't ask for much more. The complimentary shampoos/conditioners in the bathroom were amazing, and all organic too! I also love that there's free breakfast at Screamers. I'd come back for sure!

My wife and I stayed at Gateway Motel for one night in Aug. When we drove into its parking lot, we were stunned by the beauty of colourful flowers in full blossom gracing the railings of the balcony, The reception was warm and efficient, and the lady recommended 3 restaurants for us as well which we found were all highly rated on Google review. Our room was equipped with AC and a mini fridge: very functional amenities! It was cozy, comfortable and clean. Sitting outside in the flower decorated balcony enjoying the sunset behind the magnificent mountains was a sheer delight. Also the complimentary breakfast was great, with real scrambled eggs! A rare find at a motel for that price! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend it to our family and friends. Thank you Gateway Motel!

Had a great off season stay at the Gateway. Rooms are clean and tidy, the sauna is lovely, and the staff is friendly. Bit of a bummer breakfast is so short considering you have to get up and organized to go (a short way) into town to get it, but it was very tasty and it may be a longer window in the high season. Would certainly recommend for the budget conscious traveler!

Really cute little place. Clean and pet friendly! Breakfast was decent and I liked the little sitting area on the balcony. Our room on the top floor was very hot though, there was a little portable AC but it barely helped unless you stood right infront of it. Also when the AC is on, the window is open, so the highway noise is very noticeable if you are trying to sleep.

We have been travelling across Canada for 6 weeks and had a car full of luggage as well as a handicapped dog that doesn't climb stairs. I booked through booking .com so did not ensure we had a ground floor room. The staff were fantastic , they gave us a ground floor room and the owner very graciously gave me a refund as the ground floor room was smaller than the original one we booked. We really appreciated the owner's honest and genuine way of handling our circumstance. He is a credit to the industry. The room was very cozy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast which was included, was yummy home-made pancakes. It was located about a five minute drive to the hot springs. Great value
