The staff were wonderful with helping us deal with the loss of our son getting his personal items to us letting us know our son was not alone when he passed we will be forever grateful to them . Thank you for everything you's all did Bless you...Sabourin Family

I don't particularly like the hypocrisy among the Cool Aid Societys ways. I've had some huge issues with some staff members. Lying and Stealing seem to be the norm so far from what I have experienced. Supportive housing that takes advantage of the elderly, also the mentally ill and physically disabled tenants. My parents were bullied. and harrased by staff members including the superior staff in managerial and supervisory positions. Threats of eviction,. Improper notices and illegal entry into premises. Illegal removal and disposal or theft of personal property by intimidation and threats of eviction. Preventing or making it difficult for family or guests to visit tenants,. I believe to keep them from seeing what was going on. When questioning Staff I was banned from the. building for almost a year.....while my parents were basically being abused.

I called here seeking help to get housed in anything besides my SUV.I don't have a debilitating drug addiction, and therefore received no call back.There's no help unless you are on dope.

Bedbugs everywhere! Staff is incompetent in managing the problem. I found 100s of bedbugs in a room they say they sprayed several times recently. Obviously it isn't working! Beyond that it's a good shelter in terms of social services, food, and room sizes / flexible sleeping time.If you notice down this thread the rock bay team only responds to positive reviews. This is a reflection of how they function. You respect me I'll respect you, but if you disrespect me I'll ignore and disrespect you. Maybe seeking to understand the reasons for the negative reviews would help make the place function a little more smoothly.

Been here almost six months and the staff is great ,foods great and it’s for the most part pretty clean besides the times residents thrash the bathroom.I find that the people who complain about the staff are the same ones who complain about pretty much everything ! The staff is my fav part about the shelter. Thank you for all you do . Staff you’re awesome !

When a family member who was a resident here passed away, the staff were respectful and helpful with allowing me to sort and collect their things. The one negative I would include is that the counsellor referred to myself and other family as estranged from the deceased person repeatedly, which was not only not true as far as I was aware, but was hurtful at a time that I was devastated. However, I was very appreciative that this person had been in a community where they had access to this kind of resource. I believe it probably helped them many times and extended their life, to be in an environment where they were supported.

The facilities are well maintained ,the food is prepared by real chefs/cooks and is better and more thoughtful than any other shelter in the city. The staff are very helpful and thoughtful , non-judgemental attitudes are abundant. Safety is also a key factor in this shelter, making the most afflicted feel safe and cared for.

The staff/cooks&cleaners are friendly,helpful and always hava smile,which helps if I'm having a bad day,and as well as being super grateful too the cool aid society as a whole.Housing is sooooo expensive I wanted my own place but it looks like I'll be here longer then I expected but in the meantime I am humbled&appreciated for the shelter and 3 meals which I must saybis always very yummy,all in all if yr in a bind and have no where to sleep and are homeless this is a gd place to occupy until i find my own place. :)

I feel sorry for everyone who genuinely rely on them for help, so disorganized, over burdened. So much miscommunication and red tape in the system. All talk and no results, they act like there is no other resources, refuse to give referrals to people who actually get stuff done. My faith in the system was low before but it was murdered by this place
