Sarah helped me train my dog to be less impulsive and a great walker as well as solidify boundaries around the door, when people come over and food. He is the best pup now.We also regularly board with Sarah and her team and love the experience. He comes home so tired and I know he is well taken care of.

I rescued a big boy who was nervous and reactive. I was quite anxious about getting him trained or boarded, but Sarah put my mind completely at ease. She is amazing with him, patient and just a great person to interact with. I recommend her in a heartbeat!

I have to admit that I was rather skeptical of getting a dog trainer - but Sarah was worth every penny! I learned something helpful and useful each and every in person session with her. My 9 month old GSD/Retriever boy recently finished private training with Val and I can't say enough good things about her! The option of having the trainer to come in your home is fantastic since we worked on a lot of in house manners. I love that we set goals in the intake meeting, and by the third session I could see huge improvements in my pup. He was reactive towards most people and pulled on leash, making it very stressful anytime we went on our walks. With the right tools and balanced training, I can confidently say that I stress no more! Not only is Val professional, she is also amazing at knowing what your dog needs. She focuses on not only the training aspect, but also building relationships between you and your dog. I truly do feel that the 6 session training I had built a stronger bond between my boy and I. I'm extremely happy with the results and would recommend anyone that's struggling to give Calm & Collected Canine a try! :)

I have been working with Sarah for only three weeks now and I have made so much progress with my new puppy Slater! Sarah is very knowledgeable and you can tell this is her passion. We just finished our last of 8 sessions with Val and she's amazing. Our dog Marsha is a nervous potcake who had started having big reactions to people and dogs, and Val was recommended to us by another potcake owner. She saw right away that Marsha's reactivity is fear-based. She taught us a lot of new skills, has helped us understand how to build Marsha's confidence and help her work past her fear. I feel like all 3 of us have come so far. It's not stressful to walk her anymore, and we've even been able to take her into stores. Marsha adores Val so much that she's going to board with her for a weekend this summer.
