Rented a bike for the day. Cheap full day rental (9:30am-6pm) compared with other nearby options. Standard bike. Comes with helmet, lock, map and bag.Picked up the bike at around 9:45am. Busy time with multiple groups renting.If you need specialized service, are inquiring about the turn-around time for a tune-up or anything else, don't come at their prime times.Returned the bike at 3:30pm (price was still better than other nearby spots + the mental freedom to not worry about having to get back until 6pm). Place was much quieter and they could likely handle specialized questions better then.(Just in case you are worried about the customer service or rudeness") Didn't get the name of the worker but he had a sense of humor and communication style that I could imagine would rub certain people the wrong way. He was great

Simon replaced my specialized levo turbo connect unit all under warranty including a tune up free of charge. All same day, fast and easy. Other shops are closer but I go to Simon’s!

Always great service at Simon’s. Any issue I’ve had with my bike gets fixed in less than a day and I never feel like they’re trying to charge me for more than what needs to be done.

I will not shop for bike and parts anywhere else, Simon is very honest not greedy, he fixed my bike with no cost even though I did not bought my Specialize from them. Worth all the travelling from Richmond to downtown.

I wish there were 100 stars so I could give it to the Simon's shop. I am very happy that I was referred to this shop when I was looking for a highly competent Bike mechanic. Yesterday I went there to get a pair of wheels spokes measured by them. The very friendly owner guided me to their very very competent mechanic, an Asian Gentlemen who is highly skilled. A day after, the job was excellently ready, so I went and picked up my order and paid surprisingly low for the most accurate measurement one could do. However I had some issues with measurement that Simon's staff corrected it for me and very very friendly helped me out and laced my rear wheel as example and again charged me a very low labor that I actually payed more, because lacing and building a bike wheel is an art and is priceless, particularly in the fashion the Asian gentleman did. Thank you very much Simon's bike shop and all friendly staff working hard to help people. Businesses like this should be appreciated so they can continue to be there when we need them.

I had an old vintage derailleur on the bike that my friend had loaned me and it broke and they didn't have the old version they had the new version that won't work with the old connection however they gave me a better derailleur for cheaper than the regular price. I call that awesome customer service thank you Simon

I rented a bike for 4 days. The price was really fair I thought but I didn't expect much of the quality. Now Im on day 4 and I must say that the bike is really really good value. The gears and breaks work properly and it's suitable for city biking and mountain biking as well. I am really happy with the bike and I will go here again next time I visit Vancouver. The dude was friendly as well

Awesome store with good dudes working there. Brought my bike in for a tune-up on my lunch break Friday at mid day and they had it ready first thing Saturday morning (likely would have been EOD Friday if I'd brought it in earlier). Honestly, my bike is riding better now than it was when I first bought it. Would definitely recommend this store and would use their services again.

Since the early 2000’s my family has probably spent close to $10,000 on bikes from this shop. I remember having a great experience as a teenager picking out a Specialized XC Expert that I ended up racing provincials on. Repairs were always done well, and customer service was great. The owner was always really nice and helpful.I’m really sad to say that when I returned as an adult (about a year ago) to look at a cheap commuter bike, I was treated incredibly rudely. As soon as I mentioned the model I was looking for, he visibly became disinterested and remained on the phone for the remainder of our interaction, except to shout at me to get my attention when I was waiting for him to finish his call lol. It was clear that he had more important things on his plate. I have a feeling that he completely wrote me off based on my appearance and the model I was inquiring about.Needless to say, me and my family won’t be coming back.
