I’m sure this place use to be a great, quaint place to get some nice breakfast. But I can’t in good conscience recommend anyone visit this restaurant. It was incredibly unhygienic in the kitchen, bathroom & seating area. The cheap prices are not worth the health hazard this restaurant is.

We came from London and visited for the first time. We had the Alaskan Pollock. It was very good. Crispy and tasty. Fries were great too, homemade. Very good value. I agree with some of the reviews that this a mom / pop type place. If you not used to that I can see why some would comment on the out dated decor and yes, not fresh clean in general. Kathy the owner/server is wonderful and if in Strathroy again we will pop in again for sure!

Great spot to stop in for a cheap lunch. Chicken salad and onion rings was great. Fish and chips looks very good too.

First visit, and gobsmacked how unbelievably dirty everything was. Our cups were dirty, my fork had old food on it, likewise the menu card. The floor was filthy, looked like it had not even seen a sweeping brush far less a mop. All the condiment bottles were grungy. Cannot believe this place is allowed to stay open.

I want to love this place, I really do. I have a high tolerance for run down diners and third world street food, but the condition of the kitchen is past my tolerance level. The lady is wonderful, the food is not bad considering where it comes out of, but I just can’t ever eat there again after seeing the kitchen and the extremely low standard of cleanliness. It’s just unacceptable. I think retirement is in order.

Wonderful old fashioned service, that is very hard to find these days. Kathy a most kind and wonderful person. This restaurant is the nostalgia, and old fashioned service, that has almost completely disappeared . Thank You Kathy

Giving this place a 5 star because of Kathy, she’s a superstar who was taking orders and making the food while her granddaughter was helping out. Nice to see the family working together and learning the ropes. The food was good and the prices pretty much unbeatable in this inflation-ridden world. Lots of charm in this little restaurant. Glad we got the chance to stop by for breakfast to check this place out.
