We have been building high end cottages in Muskoka for over 30 years but this is my first project with Foreshew Design and am really impressed by what they have to offer through the process. It doesn’t end with Alex’s unique designs. I had access to 3D framing plans, in house engineering, and full colour renderings of interior designs. FDA seems to effortlessly use technology to great effect both for the client and the builder. Being our first new build we found that Alex and his team were extremely patient with our many questions and at times OUR slow decision making. They were always engaged and readily responsive with us and in direct communication with the local authorities to ensure our permitting process moved along as quickly as it could. They worked closely with the builder to ensure that any of the potential impasses, challenges etc were dealt with early to all parties satisfaction. We expect that Foreshew will continue to be very helpful with their continued involvement thru the construction of the property and the designer etc. Alex, listened carefully to our desires and suggestions thru out the early design stage process. He then made the necessary changes/adjustments that satisfied us without compromising the elements that he felt would make our place a special environment to enjoy with family and friends. I've had a chance to read some of the other reviews and I think it's important to note that design takes time and several iterations. If you are building something custom it will take longer to finalize a design because each design is unique.It's been a pleasure to work with Alex and the Foreshew (FDA) team, a talented group of designers. We were recommended Foreshew by our realtor and our builder had also worked with FDA. FDA took all of our ideas and gave us an excellent design. They've also been very patient as we have been through a few iterations honing our design.The interior design team also did an excellent job and we've really enjoyed working with them. I would highly recommend FDA.

Alex has a great eye for design on multiple levels, him & his team will get you exactly what you're looking for and more. We've just completed our FDA build and couldn't be happier. The attention to detail is apparent in his design process and very well represented in the final product.

We recently completed our home on Georgian Bay, When we started the process we envisioned a radical departure from the typical Muskoka cottage/home. Our goal was to incorporate a modern contemporary styled design to the construction. One with expansive views of the bay and multiple roof lines. Our builder Tamarack North recommended Foreshew Design and its principal Alex Foreshew in Port Carling. We were initially apprehensive but once we saw the renderings we were blown away. From start to finish Alex and his team delivered on architecture engineering and design. We also would like to give a big shout out to Tamarack North our builder who did a marvellous job of bringing this project to fruition.

I had the pleasure of working with Alex along with some members of his team (Andres and Ron) on a modern country home project. Their work is really unmatched and they were able to deliver me exactly what I had envisioned. We couldn't be happier with all aspects of the design and layout.The team at FDA have gone above and beyond to answer any questions and have us ready for a spring 2022 commencement. I plan on using this team for many more projects moving forward.
