Absolutely terrible place to stay and shady people. My car got broken into and I’m 90% sure the owners stole my tires. Had to get the police involved. Terrible people that run it, and some shady things go on there. Owner says they “don’t want to get involved and don’t want the drama” as business owners I feel they should take accountability with their customers cars that are parked there or at least make the effort to help. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Do not stay here.

This is the worst experience in my life. The ratings and reviews on hotel.com were totally incorrect and deceiving. I rate it less than 1 star. The place was old with a musty smell. It was so stuffy. The room smelled and sheets weren't that clean and the mattress not comfortable. We tried to cancel the booking but Catherine, the owner, was extremely rude and insulting. She shut the phone on our faces several times. When we returned to remove our bags she t kicked us out. She told us to leave right now and they she doesn't want us there. She was the rudest hotel manager I ever met in my life. I would not recommend anyone to go there!!! And she wouldn't return our money as well, for 2 nights that we never stayed!!!

This place is a TOTAL SCAM! The room was dirty, the owners were drunk, their kid ran around in dirty diapers, and when we decided to leave without choosing to stay there ( even though we had paid), the owner basically harassed us and screamed at us for leaving. This was the worst B&B experience I have ever had. Please — read the negative reviews (the positive reviews all seem to be local and therefore from their friends) and realize that this is a HORRIBLE place to stay!!

Getting ready to turn in on our last night at this wonderful and charming B&B. We came upon it quite by accident, as we had been booked at another place. There had been an electrical problem and the manager was able to call and place us here. Dan and Catherine are just so engaging, endearing and great hosts. Our room was just awesome, the breakfasts were excellent, lots of great laughs and help from Dan with the TV and directions. We are so glad our other reservation did not work out. We fell in love with this place right off and will definitely stay here on our next trip to Halifax...to Dan and Catherine, our most excellent and charming hosts...thank you!!!!!!! Linda and Ed

Booked this Air BnB through the website. Terrible customer service received. Attended the location on the date we booked to be faced with “Closed” signs all over the property and notices saying that they are not honouring AirBnB bookings. Absolutely horrific customer service. What a way to ruin a weekend trip with people travelling from across the maritimes. This left our entire group without a place to stay at incredibly short notice. At least have the guts to contact people who have booked if you don’t plan on honouring their payment. Don’t book here. Use your money elsewhere unless you enjoy getting ripped off.

You can't find this kind of charm and experience in a sterile chain hotel! I stayed two nights while visiting Halifax. The owners, Catherine and Dan, could not be nicer or more accommodating. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room has it's own private bathroom. Catherine provided lots of great info on getting around the downtown area and also provided great history and a list of things to see and do. The breakfast served each morning was fantastic! Even better was the conversations with other guests. It really enhanced my visit to Halifax. The B&B is located a few miles from the waterfront/downtown area and is super close to public transportation (bus stop), making getting downtown cheap and a snap.

“I am already recommending the place to my friends because the experience we were offered was wonderful! We arrived really late in the evening but our hosts were still waiting for us and they were really welcoming! The coffee in the morning was waiting for us in the dining room. The table was set as if for royal guests and the breakfast was served with laughter and smiles! The best breakfast I have ever had! Delicious, healthy, and suitable for the cover of a magazine!”

Guests beware! Be sure to read all reviews before making this your place to stay. If you're looking for peace and quiet, stay somewhere else. Lots of noise and not just the road noise from being so close to the Bedford Highway. There were smells of marijuana and the place could use a good thorough cleaning. The owner is very abrasive and unprofessional.

I did not sleep in the B&B. I left as soon as I could, I slept in my car and never came back. The inner sheets and pillows had not been washed, with human hair and mice poop, the towels smelled bad, the floors had not been cleaned, and mice pee stains were everywhere. Empty shampoo and body soap dispensers. Not only was there someone self-quarantining in a room nearby, the woman owner coughed several times and her husband talked to me without a mask. They lived upstairs and could be heard, and so could the mice. I was horrified by the experience. I did not confront the owners because they were decently nice and the only thing I would have wanted was a refund. My credit card just got charged $68, which the owner said was cheap for a renovating suite. Whether due to covid or not, it was $68 thrown away for an inhospitable place.The owner said they would close this suite to fix it. I just want a refund, an apology--a moral response to this borderline traumatic experience .

I would never describe this B&B as fancy
