Lime Kiln Cottages

We stayed a few cottages down from the Lime Kiln. What a beautiful area to go for a nature walk now that the spring has come.

The cottages are older but clean and very nicely decorated in a unique Bruce county style. There are no laundry facilities and the shoreline is off property. But the sunsets are amazing....because of the pollution over Detroit, but still amazing. Kind of pricey for what you get though. The worst part of my stay was Terry the owner who likes to rant and rave when he drinks too much.

Awesome location on Lake Huron, love the area. Beach and park within 5 minutes walking distance.

First time staying here. Jill and Terry were nothing but hospitable. Made our stay perfection down to letting us borrow sugar for the much needed morning coffee! Lovely people. The cottages are in a beautiful area, clean and fully stocked.Spectacular sunsets finish off each day of a great stay. Will be returning for sure!!

House of bats! My father inlaw caught 3 bats inside the cottage during our stay. 2 bats in 1 night. We notified the owner of limekiln (knocked on the door at their house across the street because they were no where in sight for our entire weeks stay!) Owner said she would get someone in immediately to fix the issue but 4 days went by before someone came to take a look. No work was done. Next night we caught a 3rd bat. Owners did not make us feel welcomed. On arrival the door was wide open, keys slapped on the table. Cottage was absolutely disgusting. We had to mop and vacuum the floors on arrival. They were very dirty. Ketchup and other stains on the walls. No compensation from owners, not even an apology. She said because we still stayed the week we were not warranted any credit..? Place is simply a money grab, no work seems to be put into this business. Would NEVER stay here again

Great place to relax, go for a walk, swim in beautiful Lake Huron. Cottages are clean, lots of space for kids to run. Only steps from Ivenhuron sandy beach. Owners (Jill & Terry) are great and very accommodating. Highly recommend.

I loved Lime Kiln cottages. The grounds are beautiful. The cottage is cozy. Exceptionally well maintained and quiet. Highly recommend.

We loved this place. Cottage 5 was clean and well equipped. The grounds are beautiful. Owners were responsive (propane tank empty) We will definitely be back.

Our stay at Lime Kiln Cottages, cottages #1 and #2, was favourable.We found the cottages to be clean, with all the amenities we required. While they do show their age, overall the basics were intact. In our cabin I thought a bathroom upgrade (shower and toilet, adding an exhaust fan) might be considered. However, the space was functional.Our Hosts were welcoming and were responsive when we did have concerns or questions.The cottages are a short walk or bike ride from the public beach. A short distance further on is beautiful Inverhuron Provincial Park. Kincardine is a short drive and there is always plenty to explore along Huron's scenic coast.A generous deck, with a table for six, provided plenty of space to relax with a book, a buddy, and a beverage. There's a cafe table located cleverly in an exterior corner.All in all, we could easily see booking these accommodations again in the future.
