Custom Fit Hardwood & Tile

The installer was prompt and worked well, the floor looked beautiful when he was done (in October). The following summer the floor began to buckle. We called the installer and he said he'd come and look at it and fix it. He didn't call back, we called him several times and he finally said he couldn't come and fix it. His company blamed it on the humidity in our house. It is certainly humid but all rooms but one in our home have wood floors and this is the only one we have trouble with. After an entire year of trying to get the installer and Lumber Liquidators (the installer works for them) to resolve the issue we have nothing. We finally gave up, which is I guess what they were waiting for. We have an installer we trust coming in to take out and replace half of our floor. He said Custom Fit Hardwood and Tile simply did not leave expansion room, as did the other two installers over the years that did the rest of our floors. I will remove this post if Custom Fit finally does something to compensate us for lost time and money.• • •It's two years later. Custom Fit did nothing to repair our floor. Our trusted installer very carefully took out a few boards from the middle and cut off very thin sections to allow for more expansion. That was a year and a half ago and we are coming to the end of the second humid summer since the floors were repaired. No problems, our own installer did a professional job.
