RUDE MANAGER WILL ASK YOU TO LEAVE IF YOU DON’T GET 2 DRINKS!I’ve never been treated that way anywhere else! My friends invited me to celebrate one friend’s engagement so we went there.I told the server that I’d not eat or drink cause I’m on a diet and the manager basically told me to LEAVE!Like what the… And the place was not even full! There were several empty tables there.Not going back never again (I use to go a lot!)

We came to this place and the waiter guy was rude from get go.We waited for 5 minutes to be seated and as no one was coming. We grabbed the available seat.The waiter guy came after 5 minutes and was super rude.I bet the person had very sad life to be that rude to the paying customers.I just hope he was having a bad day and gets better.Also notice there is 18% gratuity charge.We walked off, like there is a bunch of other bars to go.Not impressed with the service, if you are owner of this pace please address your service.

I am (or was) a regular at the Upper Deck often attending with large office parties or with friends. It has a great vibe, mediocre food and cheap drinks, BUT they scam you. The servers have on more than one occasion added extra drinks to our bill and conveniently don't provide a copy when asked, instead pushing the machine infront of you to pay (so you can tip on top of the gratuity added for large parties and not see the extras???). Whether drinking mocktails or not, if you are lucky enough to get a copy and address the over charge, well ... clearly you're wrong. We have been watching this for the past few months to confirm our suspicions and much to our chagrin it was confirmed on a one drink, one mocktail night. I almost wish I was drunk and didn't notice because this is a convenient spot. Needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere where honesty is practiced.

I typically don’t leave written reviews but the level of service received last night warranted one. We had the pleasure of enjoying a night out after work. Matt was a superb host, he is very accomodating to our requests.

Food was awful. Went here with a group of 6 and the food was not as described. The chicken and waffles was 19$ for a waffle that tasted sour and looked less appealing than an eggo. There was a small hair in another friend’s fries as well. When we spoke up to the manager about it he dismissed our complaints and didn’t even apologize. Do not recommend coming here, go to the place downstairs instead.

This Toronto staple and it's late night employee (the littoral rock of the late night operation) is about to change and its sad that the owners can't manage to keep loyal employees around. Should also mention the burger beef is pretty low quality now, it's that processed fake meet stuff... awefull

I just went there with other 5 friends. We the got the older lady manager, who was taking our order and she was extremely rude. She was pressuring two of my friends to order food or a mocktail. The rest of all we were all ordering drinks and food afterwards. And she was rushing us and telling us we could not just sit there and not order. I have never had a treatment like this in Toronto in almost 10 years. It’s obvious to say that she made us feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable that we got up and left to spend our hard earned money somewhere else.

Good place to enjoy brunch with friends and family.Wholesome food and excellent service. Our server Tara was super attentive and so accommodating.Worth going there for a Sunday brunch.

My experience at this place has been extremely disappointing. The server who is infact a manager, was extremely rude. We were a group of 6 people and one of my friends didn’t wanted to order as she going through a diet. She told us that “we can not just sit here and not order”. I used to love frans but honestly the tone and the customer service that I received today has made me think otherwise. If you want to have a good friday evening, go anywhere, but NOT here.
