Shawn was an absolutely gem to deal with on the phone and in person, Trevor was also friendly and helpful when I dealt with him at the till. Ryan however, is very grumpy, and as a female speaking to him on the phone asking if a transfer I had requested had come in I felt rather condescended.

I've been going to this location for many years. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable.

First midnight release I wanted to go to in over a decade. I called twice to get the correct details and the GS employee wasn't sure what entrance I should go to. They also didn't mention the release was at 10:30 PM. I get to the mall at 11:40, call and I'm told that they had closed their tills and couldn't sell us the game. Thanks for reminding me why I don't shop at Game Stop.

Do NOT come here if your a woman!For context, a group of my friends and I (all female) went to GameStop with the intent to buy games. When we first entered, we walked over to the PS4 games. Then a male employee with a pony tail and neck beard rudely interrupted our conversation. Halloween was on Monday, but he still seemed to be dressed as a discord moderator. He interrupted by asked if we knew what we were looking at, insinuating we did not know what a video game/ps4 game was. Although rude, this kind of treatment is common in these types of establishments so my friends and I continued to shop.We ended up choosing three games for purchase and headed to the register. Once rang up, the same employee reflected quietly at the register as if deep in thought? After around two minutes he asked for ID, which we provided. It was in a clear section in a wallet, which made it clearly visible. The employee asked us to remove it and proceeded to grab it from my friends hand. At no point did he ask to grab or explain why he needed the ID. He told us that that since we were 16, we were not allowed to purchase two of three games. We agreed and attempted to buy the third game. He then changed his policy/mind again. This time, we weren’t allowed to buy any of the games.He still had the ID in his hand, and continued to inspect it? At this point I believed we had gotten the ID revoked this is how long he had it in his hands. We then put out our hands and motioned for him to give it to us. He did.My male friends (same age) often visit this location and have never been ID’ed once.There was a clear power dynamic present throughout this entire interaction. We left feeling humiliated and angry. Everyone in the shop watched this grown man sass three teen girls out of a game shop. It was utterly embarrassing.After trying to research this ID policy, we weren’t able to find any clear answers. My friends and I feel as though this was a clear attack against us based in age and gender.If this policy is solely up to the employees digression, we advice you instruct your staff to be consistent. This has never been an issue at any other location.

The worker Ryan that works at the Kingsway mall is very racist calling security on my sons for looking through the game basket and following my family around the store. Disgusting. As well as stating I’m not welcome at the store anymore and when I asked for a supervisor he said I’m the supervisor so get out. I expect better especially since I have a membership.
