Langstaff Secondary School

I'm an alumnus from the 2020 graduating class and I can wholeheartedly say I had a fantastic high school experience at Langstaff Secondary School. The teachers were phenomenal, the culture was strong, and the extracurriculars really helped me branch out. Furthermore, as a French immersion student coming out of elementary school, I was able to continue and become certified bilingual.I was also able to graduate with a Specialist High Schools Major in health and wellness, for which I got the opportunity to go on numerous educational field trips and do a co-op placement in a cardiology clinic.All in all, I would strongly recommend elementary students to go on and become an LSS bear!

I attended high school here and it was one of the most fun times of my life! I met my best friends at LSS and some of my favourite teachers. I was in french immersion and completed the French AP credit as well. I love learning languages so it was a great program to help me strengthen my foundations in French and helped me pursue it in university as well. :)

I graduated from the class of 2020 and I can easily say that I had a wonderful high school experience! The teachers were so kind and made sure they knew they were there for me.I was in the French Immersion Program and it was a wonderful decision as I'm well prepared for university, where I'm continuing to do a French minor. In grade 12, I took the AP French course and participated in the AP French Exam that also counted as a credit towards my university.There are so many clubs to join and if there isn't something you're interested in, you can make your own club. I met so many people and made so many friends at Langstaff and I wouldn't change my experience for anything!I highly recommend this school for anyone looking for French Immersion. There are so many opportunities to learn and grow here with a great staff support system.

this is the best school in the world. the rooms are cleaner. the rooms are bigger. the hallways are better and the school is newer then bayview.

I was a student at Langstaff Secondary School from 1987 through 1991 and found the teachers and the staff to be outstanding. The school has since gone through an expansion and renovations and my family live in the neighboring community. A good school that I hope has continued it's tradition of generating students that go on to be successful members of society.

This is actually my old high school. I had the best 10 years of my life here! LOL Okay, it was only four years but it felt like 10.Langstaff has changed quite a bit. I was last inside the place in the late-1990s when one of my cousins played a basketball game for her high school against the home Langstaff Bears team. Since that time, they've added quite a bit more square footage, including a second gym, and that's where I played ball hockey at the suggestion of my friend, who also went to Langstaff.This new gym is about half the size of the original 2nd-storey gym, but it's a good size for our needs, as we had 10 players. I felt the change room was a tad small though, but maybe that's because I'm a fat guy and felt a lot fatter with all the goalie equipment I was wearing.Overall, the place looks mostly the same as when I was there back in the day, but it's obviously expanded.

Amazing school. My son's currently attending lss and its really spectacular. He learned so many new things. I don't regret it. My son's gonna go to an amazing university. I really recommend lss! The teachers and the students in general are great.

I graduated from Langstaff Secondary School in 2021. As a French Immersion student who also completed a French AP credit at this school, I can truly say that their french program is incredible. The teachers are passionate about teaching students about the French culture, and language. Langstaff also has a SHSM program which grants students the opportunity to learn more about the profession they would like to enter. As a SHSM student in the 'Justice, Community Safety, & Emergency Services' sector, I was able to gain certification and training experiences related to law, and do a co-op placement at a law firm.All in all, I definitely recommend coming to this school. The school staff, and guidance are very kind, helpful, and resourceful, and the overall school atmosphere is welcoming.

French Immersion program here is top notch. Everything else is fantastic as well. The teachers here really care about their students. This is a great school to get involved and enhance your leadership skills.
