The wonderful aroma of butter lured us in. We saw smiling customers with croissants and ice cream together! I had to try a butter croissant. Flaky and delicious, the ingredients sourced from Europe. The almond croissant and pain au chocolate are next on my list! Great staff who are friendly and knowledgeable and don't rush you. Great spot!

My husband and I went here today. We ordered a chocolate croissant and a kouign-amaan. After reading the great reviews, I was quite surprised because they were both really dry and quite tasteless. It seemed like there wasn't enough butter in either of them.

Just happened to walk by this bakery. There were people lined up deciding what to buy. Everything looks delicious so I bought some croissants. They were very good. It's an open concept store, so you can look down through the store. Other pastries and cakes weren't marked, so I didn't know what anything was. The workers were so nice though, so ask away.

Tried the espresso Croffle & almond croissant and they were both amazing! A cute small bakery but no sitting area - take out only!

Their plain crossaints are the best!! Light & flaky!! We tried the ham & cheese crossaint as well, but felt the gerkin slices were a bit much for us. We enjoyed the plain crossaints the most (: The bakery is open early & everything looked super fresh! Name tags for the items laid out might be helpful!! Keep up the great work guys! (:

Pretty modest spot but the pastries really blow you away! Do yourself a favor and get the pistachio chocolate croissant and you will not be disappointed. This wasn’t too sweet compared to other twice baked croissants I’ve had in the city.

2023 January 3.5★On a seemingly busy street lined with shops, you'll find this narrow bakery serving double baked, intensely browned, croissants.Step inside and you'll know that it's narrow. In the back, you can see the kitchen. Certainly an open concept design. At the front, a single aisle which you certainly you can't fit more than several people inside, the goods are displayed and patrons are served.Almond Croissant $4.95Almond on top, Croissant cut in half horizontally and filled with an almond paste, it's not bad.Regular Croissant $3.95Crispy with all the layers you'd expect. Not oily nor heavily buttered.Pain Au Choc $4.25Chocolate Croissant, chocolate inside and being double baked, extra crispy on the outside.Ham and cheese Meat Croissant $5.50Not much ham, but a decent amount of cheese. Not bad.Purchase 6 or more and no taxes.Very Limited street parking outside. Park on smaller streets and walk over, or just stop briefly if there's no line up.

Geste is my favourite viennoiserie in Toronto at the moment. The croissants are the perfect combination of flaky and buttery (not too much to the point of being oily, or too little to the point of being dry!). Their other pastries are also to die for - the kouign amann is warm and comforting with its notes of caramelized sugar and the pistachio chocolate croissant is abundant with nuttiness and a slightly bitter chocolate that perfectly offsets the sweetness. Would highly recommend!EDIT: I forgot to add - if you try pastries from the A-OK Café (attached to the Aritzia) in Yorkville, they are sourced from here! That was my introduction to this bakery - 10/10 choice by whoever made the decision at Aritzia to partner with Geste!!! The Kouign Amann was $3.75 pre-tax and the Pistachio Chocolate Croissant was $5.75 pre-tax, which I think are very reasonable prices for a bakery in Toronto.

Just discovered Geste, and it is hands down the best bakery I’ve tried in Toronto. We tried the sundried tomato and pesto cronut, the pain au chocolat, and the almost croissant. We were blown away by every single one. Finished all three in the car before we even drove away from the store! We accidentally pre-ordered from the weekend menu and the item wasn’t available, so the owner made us the almond croissant FRESH! and also gave us the pain au chocolat to make up for it. All of the flavours were on point.Love supporting South Asian businesses in Toronto. Would love to try the Indian inspired croissants if they’re available next time we visit :)
