Fantastic experience, from the admin staff to sales; and the instructors are excellent, professional, and have always had a great rapport with the kids. Merriam always ensures that instructors are not only highly educated, but work well with kids. We've been with Merriam for many years starting with group piano lessons, and now private piano and vocal. Our child has always looked forward to each lesson! I highly recommend this school!

A very professionally run school. Staff and teachers are all kind and accommodating. My children look forward to their weekly lessons.Merriam music is a wonderful program that truly encourages progression. The 'Merriam Way' is by far superior than any other curriculum I have seen thus far. We are very fortunate to have been part of the Maple location for more than 3 years.

We started our son and our daughter with Merriam School of Music (Vaughan campus) a few years ago. We explored a few music schools and decided Merriam is ideal for our young kids (5 and 6 at the time)Our kids have been taking group piano lessons and later on individual piano lessons since. We are impressed with the quality of instructions. We particularly like how Merriam offers plenty of opportunities for students to perform in public (sign-up recitals) and to compete. We also like the opportunities to try and learn different instruments in the summer. Our kids have really enjoyed taking additional lessons on drums, vocal, and guitar and they're looking forward to learn more.Paymon as a manager of the school definitely is a star and a big reason why we continue to stay with the school. Paymon is professional, approachable and resourceful and is instrumental in creating and developing the Merriam community""

I have been a student at Merriam School of Music for over a year. Taking piano lessons at the Vaughan campus from an awesome teacher by the name of Noemi Mazzilli. I could not have asked for a better instructor. As an older adult learning a new instrument, her encouragement and patience is very much appreciated. My progress over the past year has been exciting, and would recommend this studio, and Noemi as an instructor, to anyone who wants a great musical experience for their children or themselves.February 15, 2023Dennis Boschetto(63 years young and still learning)

I started my son off in piano at this school as soon as he was of age to attend. Paymon was professional, personable, and knowledgeable when explaining how it would all work and showing us around the school. He made sure our son was paired with a teacher who would suit his personality best and took time to talk with our son, ask him questions, and actually get to know him before suggesting a teacher.I was worried with our son being so young that he would lose interest, however Simon was/is FANTASTIC. He kept my son’s interest and made it enjoyable for him. We eventually switched teachers only because we needed to switch the time and date of lessons and have had Noemi teaching him since. She as well has been so professional. She has helped our son excel immensely in such a short time. Noemi has a well rounded approach focusing on and teaching all aspects of music including theory, written, sound recognition, improvisation and performing.Our son is now 8 and it’s been the biggest joy watching not only his skills and abilities grow, but his love and passion for music grow. My 9 year old daughter began taking piano lessons 3 years ago at Merriam. I chose Merriam over other schools as I felt the combination of teaching theory and hands on learning simultaneously naturally go hand in hand. This has proven to be effective in my daughter learning quickly. My daughter began in a group lesson and then transitioned to private lessons. Both of the teachers she has had (Nicole and Chiara) have been amazing in the way they teach and interact with her. They are supportive and gentle and aware of where my daughter is at and what her needs are, and support her accordingly. It has also been very helpful to have the support of the Manger of School Operations, Paymon, every step of the way - from the way he greets my daughter when she arrives at her lesson, to his taking the time to address any of my questions and requests for support. It truly has been a pleasure to have my daughter be a student of Merriam.

I decided to start properly learning the piano at 25, and I am glad I decided to choose Merriam School to start my journey.Starting to learn as an adult has its own challenges: the schedule, the anxiety of being not good enough and being too old to learn how to play, or not knowing where to begin and how to progress. Thankfully, my teacher David at Merriam helped me (and is still helping me) overcome these challenges.I haven't always been the best student, but David has been very patient and is trying his best to teach me in a way he sees I can learn best. Throughout my journey so far, I have learned to be more comfortable in performing around other people, and express myself using music because of the experiences I had been encouraged to take on the past year.Whenever I wait for my lesson, I enjoy listening to other students play and sing. I can tell with their music that they feel the same way as me and they have a safe space to work on what they love in a pace they are comfortable with, along with teachers who pushes their growth and fellow students who they can share their passion with here at Merriam.

Merriam School of music has been wonderful! The teachers are fantastic and my son has learned so much in the last year. The teachers are engaging with the young students and my son is actually excited to go to Piano school! The facility is run very well and Paymon's communication is great!
