Westview Place Apartments

I moved into a bachelor with these guys in August of this year. As a first time renter I was super impressed with the unit I moved into. Brand new appliances/laminate flooring and a breakfast bar, sweet deal.I can't speak for any of the other buildings, but the one I'm in (with the rental office) is well looked after. The hallways/foyer are always clean and the building in general feels secure. The cleaning/maintenance staff are always friendly too, which is a plus.I can't say enough nice things about these guys - the staff seem really friendly, helpful, and super punctual. The few emails I've sent them or service calls generally have happened within minutes or same-day. I had an incident where I lost my keys pretty early into moving in and they were really accommodating about the whole thing.The office staff are pretty rad and really good about posting upcoming renos/inspections/fire tests well in advance. Overall a pretty cool place to live, would recommend

I am a current tennant here - and I loved it at first. Over time it became apparant that the staff gossip with tennants and vise versa. It's not nice to hear unflattering stories about yourself.I have also had my laundry stolen several times, while they claim no responsibility. Plus my car window smashed, popped tire, and sugar in my gas tank.There are many problem tennants, such as people who blast loud music early in the morning, and who scream out their windows/balcony. I understand that there are going to be issues everywhere you go in this town, but this is ridiculous.

I recently moved in one of the westview place apartments at 52 Bayswater and I am so happy for such an excellent service I have received. From the moment I applied to my move-in date until now, I have been astonished and pleased at how quick and effective the staff is. I am glad to call westview place my new home. Highly recommended if you are looking for a new place to live.

I lived in this place for just over two years from 2018 to 2020. When I moved in this apartment in 2018, this place was managed by a british lady named Siobhan and her assistant Karen. These two ladies were extremely professional, efficient and polite. Superintendent was a gentleman named Steve. At that time this place was a great place to live in, and customer service was extra ordinary. Steve was an exceptionally friendly and helpful superintendent. He was always ready to help no matter what time of the day you called him. About an year later, both these ladies left the apartment, and immediate this place went to dogs. A few months later, Steve also left and that was literally the last nail on the coffin. The place was in chaos with total mismanagement. New superintendent was never available for any help after hours. Water was getting shut off at random without notice. If someone parked in your parking space, there was no one to complain to. If they planned to paint the parking lot or clear snow, and a tenant happened to be out of town, they would get the tenant's car towed. They wouldn't even try calling the tenant to remind the tenant if someone inadvertently forgot. Absolutely callous and irresponsible management. Every notice they sent to tenants had a threatening tone in it reminding tenants of consequences if tenants ignore any notice even by mistake. Notice to individual tenants were dropped in mailboxes and not in the apartment, so if you did not check your mail, you'd miss the notice. During covid times in 2020, no one bothered to pick up phone calls in the office. Even if they picked a call, once in a blue moon, the attitude and customer service quality would be obnoxious. Once you give them two months' notice, they think that they can enter your apartment any day just by dropping a notice in your mailbox a day ago. Without even thinking that people do not often check mailbox everyday and during weekends. I left this place in the fall of 2020, and this is what I experienced during the last year of my stay in this place. I am not sure whether the place is like this at this time or not, but at least that is what I have experienced during my stay.

Apartments are spacious and bright! Good location and close to amenities! Repairs are completed in a timely manner. Good community!

worst apartment I have ever lived in.

I chose Westview as a first time renter and while the building is a bit older and not perfect, a lot of good can be said about the staff. Always friendly, helpful and welcoming. They've answered my tireless amount questions and are always there to help.Over the past year I've been here I've seen many improvements made to the premises for quality of life and safety, and it's clear that those here do care for the well being and happiness of the residents. I had a an emergency issue in my apartment at one point that was quickly and safely dealt with.

I lived here for 5 years, and it was a fine experience. The apartments are kinda small, but fine. There's a good neighbourhood atmosphere because the street is secluded off from the main road and people will walk their dogs and hang out chatting with each other outside. This does mean that summers can get pretty loud, as most people leave their balcony doors and windows open, but I enjoy that atmosphere.The staff are always quick to respond to any issues. When I did have a neighbour who was too loud I could always call them and they'd come over and check. They were fast responding to any maintenance requests too. There were quite a few problems with the heating/hot water lines but they ended up being completely replaced as I understand it. It's not perfect, but it was a fine place to live, and I don't agree with the intensely negative comments left here.

Horrible place if u are concern about your health. I am living here from April and have way to much issue with smoking all over the place . Complained about gets smoke inside apartment always from windows and got answer from management that “we don’t have any no smoking rule “so people can smoke. Apparently management is not able to ask other tenants to keep their smoking habit and smoke to their apartment. Management is more concern about the right to smoke over our right to live healthy life. As building is not having any no smoking rules even if u dont want to , u have to get smoke every now and then from all the sides of apartment so even if u are paying full rent can not keep windows and door open and can not go to balcony to get summer vibes because management given priority to people who choose balcony as place to smoke day nd night. So being good tenant u paying full rent but not using your whole apartment and paying compulsory insurance just in case any of the prioritized tenants will burn down the building because of their good habit of smoking. I was looking for good place to live in kingston and looked for many places where i find nice family residents like us. Got trapped with nice look and sweet communication who said we take care of our tenants security and requirements very well. And also been told that tenants are not allowed to smoke in common areas when first asked in viewing however they can smoke in balcony which is just right next to your door and you have to be passive smoker even if u choose to live healthy life. Enjoying being trapped in close apartment with balcony which u cant use at all. Thanks to westview management for not doing anything about the issue.
