Barks and Recreation Pet Services Inc.
We are so excited to be able to visit Barks and Rec again for all our puppy needs. We first used their services about ten years ago with our first dog. We purchased all our dogs goodies (food, toys leashes) from them. We were able to do the puppy school and even some one-on-one training with Sarah. The time she spent with us through all our puppy needs is still with us all these years later as we are training a new puppy. BUT one of our favorite services they offer is, doggy daycare. Our new puppy just had her first half day and it was amazing! She was so tired and calm after. Looking forward to many more years of service from Barks and Rec.

Excellent service! Had Nicole come to our home, she was able to address many concerns and help us with our 8 month old dog with behaviours and training techniques. So happy we chose a private session as we gained so much knowledge and a better understanding of what our dogs perspective may be. Looking forward to having another session with Nicole.

What a great shop! From a retail perspective, Barks has such a wide variety and unique array of products for your pets. They had items that I never can find in even a large city! Super helpful and friendly staff. This store has everything! Daycare, grooming, training and amazing products.Sarah has worked with our dogs for many years. She has a natural instinct for dog training that is unlike anyone I have ever met. Train your dog with her and her team — you won’t regret it.Additionally, Cam does the most beautiful pet portraits and captures your fur family’s essence so perfectly.

We have long had a fantastic relationship with Barks and Recreation. They have been a great source of quality products for our dogs, as well as a safe place for them to have some fun. Now, even though we’ve moved away, I am taking puppy training classes on line with Sarah Dixon. She’s fantastic. The training is fun, meaningful and effective.

Thank you for making Sadie’s first day at Doggie Daycare so easy. When I picked up Sadie after three hours she was so calm. It was her first time sheSpent anytime with other dogs. Definitely doing again soon

Our large rambunctious dog went for her first professional grooming experience with the staff at Barks and Rec and we can't believe how great it went. Our dog came back looking amazing even though she's a bit stubborn and not the most cooperative dog in all the land. The price was also extremely reasonable for the appointment taking about 1.5 hrs and her being a large dog! Highly recommend and happy to have found someone we can trust out pup with.

Sarah Dixon is an incredible trainer and a lovely person . She breaks everything down to easy to follow steps and keeps it fun for the dogs. Sarah was a lifesaver to me in New York with my difficult puppy and is wonderful remotely from Canada with my new pup. I highly recommend Sarah! I’d follow her anywhere!

We love getting our dogs groomed with Brenda. She’s fantastic! The dogs love her, and I love how fantastic they look and smell when they get home!We recently had our dog Drift at the doggie daycare, and it was awesome! We'll be using this more to help tire out our very busy young dog.

My dogs and I did 2 series of online classes with Sarah, a basic good manners class, and a more advanced class to deal with issues around people coming to the door, barking at delivery people, greeting guests, etc. It was life-changing! We all learned so much in both class series. My dogs are so much better behaved and I learned how to shape their behaviour to make everyone more relaxed and happy living together. I can't say enough good about Sarah, her teaching style, and the effectiveness of her methods (which are 100% positive, no negative reinforcement). I am eager to see what further classes Barks & Recreation has to offer. We will definitely be signing up.
