Huntsville Animal Hospital

I am so disappointed with my experience with this clinic. I have a long haired German Shepherd, Akira, who came from Poland and she is the sweetest. We purchased the puppy plan through this clinic because we wanted the best for her. I paid monthly for access to everything she needed for the first year. Unfortunately her spay surgery was botched and required a second surgery which at first I was expected to pay on top of all of the tests to determine that is not our fault. Eventually after many discussions i was given a credit which was eaten up within a month. Now today Akira had a ear infection, shaking her head and scratching at her ear and clearly infected and I wanted to get her ear drops. I was told I could not get her help until 6 days later since they were too booked to see her. I understand being very booked but I assume most appointments are routine. I was directed to an online service that charged $200, who on inspection immediately diagnosed her condition and sent the prescription to this clinic for me to pick up. $315 in total for ear drops. I just expected more from this clinic... i am so disappointed after everything we've been through and the amount of money we have spent here. I worked in private rescue for years with good intentioned people but that intention is lacking in the management at this location. I understand its a business and i was more than happy to pay every single thing that was recommended to us. 10K and shes not even 2 years old. We will be transferring our care to another clinic.Edit: We have received a notice from Huntsville Animal Hospital that apparently they feel threatened by us and will be closing our file and terminating our business relations. Wow. The audacity of this location is mind boggling but good riddance. We have moved our service to a new clinic in the area and we couldn't be more pleased with the reception we've already had! Put my 10K that you've robbed from me along with the stress you've put on Akira and our family in these past two years and try to put it to good use. So long!

We gave Huntsville Animal Hospital a second chance after our dog needed a second surgery to remove all ovarian tissue after her spay. Our dog needed to have a 2nd surgery due to her ovaries not fully being removed. Thankfully we had pet insurance or else it would of cost us close to $6,000 for this mishap…But when our dog was in pain from an ear infection and they wouldn’t see her for 6 days that was the final straw. Over $300 later to speak to an online vet to get eat drops is unacceptable. You would think you would get better service after spending over $9,000 in the last 2 years.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They are great with my dogs. My dogs are at home and calm whenever they need check-ups or other treatment. They obviously feed on the calm energy of all of the staff.

I have been taking my golden puppy & my senior dog here for the past year as we were staying at my cottage full time. I am very happy with the services they’ve provided (spay, check ups, nail trims etc) so much so I continue to take her there now that we aren’t up north because I was so pleased. Loved that her name was noted on the welcome board when we came in, sweet touch! I would definitely recommend.

I went for my dogs annual checkup and flea and tick prevention medicine, good people there who are good with my stubborn dog, I appreciate the piece of mind they provide.

I want to thank all the Huntsville Animal Hospital staff for the care they took with my Morgan. Very competent and attentive to problems.

Always happy with my visits to the Huntsville Animal hospital.The staff is always so kind and affectionate with my dogs. I never feel rushed, and everyone takes time to explain things to me and allows me to ask questions.I had to bring my small children with me to an appointment once and they were so kind and accommodating helping me handle my puppy while I managed my kids.Never had a bad experience with them.

The amazing, caring and compassionate staff have worked countless hours to save my cat. He was very sick and no one even my own vet wouldn't help him and they stepped in before it was too late. They kept in contact with me several times a day and even allowed me to visit with my cat. Even though my cat still has a long way to go before he is back home they are still working hard non stop to make sure he is not in pain and getting better. There are not enough words to express how thankful I am for Huntsville animal hospital and every one of their staff and for all their extremely hard work.

My dog ingested a large cloth material and was vomiting and had diarrhea. I was worried about a block and they told me to bring him in ASAP. Staff was very accommodating and compassionate. Dr. Robin provided great service and they weren't pushy with their recommendations. My only issue was the prices. For a 3 view xray I was charged $625 in total. They were very upfront about the cost beforehand but that is 2-3× the average price. If it weren't for the prices I would give 5 stars for sure!
