I’ve been to Halifax a few times and have gone to the Bicycle Thief almost every time! A very popular restaurant along the boardwalk that you’ll want to pop in for even something small.We were here a few weeks ago and had the best lobster roll and an app for lunch. The lobster roll has to be one of the best rolls we’ve both ever had. So much so we returned here on our last night in Halifax - turned out it’s only offered at lunch but our server was so gracious to ask the kitchen to have one made for us! They obviously didn’t have to but very appreciative of the accommodation.Food is delicious, staff are friendly and helpful and a fun vibe! Restaurant is spacious and offers indoor and outdoor seating.Highly recommend!

There is a reason this place is rated so highly! The food here is absolutely incredible. Some of the best food I’ve had in my whole trip to Nova Scotia.The service here is also just impeccable. I believe our servers name was Mitchell, and he was just amazing. Seriously can’t beat the dining experience you get here.

We stopped by during our Royal Caribbean cruise vacation. This place did not let us down. The food is spectacular and well seasoned. The portions are amazing and the quality and taste deserve a 5 star rating. We had mussels for the appetizer. For the main course we had the lobster pasta and the lobster roll. And for the dessert we had the butterscotch cake. We recommend them all. Great atmosphere too. It was a great day to sit outside.

keeping with the Lobster theme of our Halifax trip we went with their Cioppino Seafood Stew and a good old fashion Lobster Thermidor. Both were great but the Stew was the star of the two, it was packed with so much seafood it was amazing, the only complaint would be the single lonely clamTo start we tried the Marinated charred octopus. It too was great and made us want to work our way through the rest of the starters.Atmosphere lost point for how incredibly loud it gets on here and how tightly packed the area is. But love the overall look and vibe

The food was amazing! It was the best beef short rib I've had. The dessert, scallops, and pasta we had were good too.The drinks we well made and the table service were good. The location was great and right at the water.My only criticism was that the bathroom looked like a tornado blew through it. There was no paper towel in the dispenser, the facial tissue was soaked and the floor/counter was soaked too. I made a mention of it when I used the washroom earlier in the meal, but it was not addressed for the whole meal. I expected more at the restaurant of this caliber.

Anytime my husband and I talked to any of the Halifax locals about food they all said we have to try bicycle thief. On our last night in Halifax we made reservations and are so glad we did! The food was incredible and it was a beautiful restaurant as well. My husband and I knew we wanted to try new things on our vacation and we decided to split on the scallops which was new to us. They were delicious! I also got the red Ravioli and the 12 layer cake for dessert. I highly going on your trip to Halifax.

The food was perfection! Every dish was delicious - from appys to mains and dessert. Excellent service as well. We are from Toronto and it seemed to be the most recommended restaurant in Halifax when we asked our friends. We will be sure to come back on our next visit!

We had lunch here during our trip to Halifax based on rave reviews from friends and Google and it did NOT disappoint! Not only was everything we had absolutely delicious, and the restaurant was beautiful, our server (I believe her name was Emma) was incredible. She was attentive and recommended some great spots for us to check out. Highly recommend the scallops, even family who normally doesn’t eat seafood loved them! Beautiful atmosphere and amazing staff. Check it out when you’re in town!

Definitely the best lobster roll I have ever had! The lobster is fresh and tasty! And they also have the best fries from my perceptive. The service is as usual: pretty nice! Highly recommended!
