Bought a rack and a adjustable bench from fitness depot. The rack is fine, bare bones. However the bench is really poorly designed. It is unnecessarily difficult to move, like really bad. It has a tiny flat triangle at the base where you sit just made of metal. There is no handles to grab on to, no wheels, you cant grab the bench because it moves and doesn't lock into place anywhere. Nothing locks into place, the pads just sit on the grooves metal to metal and it's such a pain to adjust you have to go under the bench and grab a flat metal piece that just falls down if you don't grab it or have the back pad resting on it. Super disappointed and annoyed every time I have to use it. This is the first review I've ever written on anything I've ever bought but wanted to let everyone know.

I have been dealing with the guys at Fitness Depot in Kitchener for the past 5 years outfitting my home gym with various items. I have had nothing but great customer service and the products are incredible. I have made two warranty claims on my products and received a resolution in a timely manner. Highly recommend Northern Lights and Fitness Depot Kitchener.

My whole gym is more or less all Northern Lights products. I love everything and how it is holding up from the wear and tear of multiple people using it! The products are durable and high quality and the price point from Fitness Depot is the best I have found for the quality of product!

I purchased a used Northern Lights rack (made in 2009) and inquired about replacements parts as well as the weight capacity. After several emails they finally let me know the parts aren't available. Which is fine because it is over 10yrs old. But more importantly I wanted to know the weight capacity of the rack. Who else better to ask than the manufacturer right? Well all they can keep telling me is that there is no way to find out this information. You would think a large fitness company such as theirs would at least be able to provide concerned users about what the weight capacity of one of their products is?

I bought a weighted vest of this brand, and after two sessions the seams of the waist band started to come off and everything is unravelling. I would say avoid this brand, the fabrication looks very flimsy.Poor value for almost 70$ cad

I worked with them for 4 years. I have never seen such a despicable company as Northern Lights Fitness Products Inc. Do you know that Fitness Depot stores belong to them?They import brand and product from China. Sell them as high quality devices and do not give guarantees to which customers have paid. I have seen customers wait more than a year to receive a simple parts. But most of the time it puts the customer in waiting to receive a service but they are never sending the parts to the repairer.

I currently own a Northern Lights Power Rack and one of their Flat Incline Decline benches and I could not be happier. I’ve seen basically every other product in their price point and nothing even comes close to the quality and stability. Pretty sweet bonus too that they are made in Canada!!

I have used a wide range of Northern light products and I am always happy with the quality. I have used there residential racks for sometime and has served me well. I am not using one of the crossbody racks and it is as sturdy a rack as you will come by.

Never had any issues with the products made by Northern Lights. Most of the products are Canadian made (not all materials can be feasibly made in Canada) and over the course of 5-6 years of dealing with the products, many of the NL items are quality: in particular, all strength equipment.Not sure why some people are crying regarding warranty issues as I have never had an issue on 3-4 separate occasions. There's a difference between misusing a product to failure and normal wear-and-tear. No warranty will ever cover misuse (i.e. throwing a medicine ball repeatedly against a wall), or, using residential products in a commercial setting to 'save money' (which is what most people do - and shouldn't be doing).

I purchased a squat rack and pull down machine combo over 20 years ago. Have moved several times since then and everything still works great! Can’t say enough about the quality. Has a permanent spot in my garage gym.
