Mattamy is the McDonald's of home builders. Customers wait in insane lineups for mass produced, low quality products that go bad the second production is finished. And if you're not careful, they'll casually forget half your order, or make it wrong because the staff is the cheapest possible labour on the market and don't care about you or the money you spent. You'll take what they give you. It seems like a good idea in the moment, but you feel like dirt for buying it afterwards. Cheaper than the competition, sure, but you get what you pay for. The best thing you can do is unload it and make a better choice next time.

I have had the pleasure of owning a Mattamy home in Milton from 2012 to 2018. The quality of my home was top-notch except a few minor mishaps that were quickly addressed and repaired. I wish my new house that I bought was a Mattamy home because I lived scotch free during that time. You guys are a top-notch builder which meticulously works to ensure the quality of homes you pump out are meeting homeowner expectations. For all you homeowners that are looking for a Mattamy home. These guys know what they are doing and they will listen to you always. Don't go with a noname or small builder - GO WITH MATTAMY!

I've owned a few homes in my life and the home I live in now in Milton (Mattamy Homes built) is the most poorly constructed I've ever seen in my life. The amount of corners that were cut is staggering. From outdoor furnace intake and return vents being installed backwards, to the doorbell transformer being wired up to the fire alarm, a heating duct in one bathroom not being connected to the furnace (can't fix now without tearing walls down), grout on tile floors falling apart after 3 years, Tiles floor in upstairs laundry room not to code, etc.... Luckily for me I am very handy. However most people out there are not and have to pay to have all these problems fixed. I have no idea how my home would have passed inspection during construction unless Mattamy Homes has somehow found a loop hole in the system. I have many neighbours who have many, or similar issues to me.My advice is, if you can, avoid buying a Mattamy Home at all costs. If you have no choice, please get a good (trusting) home inspector to do a thorough inspection before you buy, and be ready to do a lot of work after you purchase.Mattamy homes only cares about volume now, no longer about quality. Its shameful. This is the biggest investment a family will make in their entire lives and Mattamy Homes is cheating them out of what they paid for and deserve.

Worst experience;We purchased with them a number of houses.in Stoney creek at Montreal circle, most of the windows open/ close mechanisms are falling a part.The worst part is my arch window on one of the bedrooms the entire glass has 1.5” open gap between the glass and the frame, you can place your entire hand through itHorrible to reach , no reply

I have bought several houses in the past decade all new builds, and have had the pleasure of having three of them being Mattamy homes. on our most recent visit we had the fortunate pleasure of working with Kristen J. who took things to the next level. She replied promptly to all our needs, she went above and beyond I've seen other design consultants do in making sure we were satisfied and within budget. I have had a positive experience the last two times coming to this location for house design appointments, but this most recent purchase and working with Kristen were undeniably one of the best experiences I've had dealing with Mattamy. The rest of the studio are very polite, they offered my mother water when she was having trouble breathing from her mask (covid), and they laid careful attention to timing and our safety. Would highly recommend a Mattamy home in Milton!

We had a good experience with the builder but I must make aware all potential buyers with Mattamy to be aware of the water heater scam that they have teamed up with reliance and Cricket Comfort. Make sure you look up 'Cricket water heater rental scam' in Ontario to be aware of what you are getting into.

Bought a house 8 years back with Mattamy after lining up for few hours. No issues.It seems now Mattamy homes milton is built for investors who just want to make a buck when flipping houses.Sales team under Norman Hill realty are just jokes and don't understand basic service excellence. They seem they just graduated yesterday from school.May be the investors can help Mattamy purchase a better online portal or go back to the traditional experience so the true home owners could also buy a house in milton or we will all end up with a decent builder like great gulf soon.#mattamymiltonsucks#missoldmattamy

Pros: The staff is really nice, they took the time to reply all our questions and help us on our choices for the home, it made decisions easier.The place is quite organized for all the things you need to choose, and trust me, they are many.Cons: As almost everything in Mattamy, it's overpriced, and always the nicer choice is an upgrade, so if you wanna go with Mattamy upgrades to avoid construction after the house is delivered, be ready with deep pockets.

Everything breaks/falls apart in these new townhouses. Worse quality appliances, cabinets and what not. Shame on you Mattamy… you cannot live in these houses for a long time as they’re not durable. Buy a solid house and don’t waste your time on Mattamy.
