Megan and Jav, the new owners, were gracious, kind and excited about their teachers and the offered programs. The outdoor play space is amazing large as well and also has a huge covered area where the children could play when it rains. The teachers in the 3-5 program explored more hands on activities like planting individual vegetables and baking cupcakes, etc. My son has thrived and matured so much within 1 month of attending their full day 3-5 program! Thank you for Dharma Kids Centre for your realistic and refreshing approach to childcare!

We're very happy that my son enjoys his time very much at Dharma kids center and thanks so much for making my kid feel comfortable, cared for and safe. The teachers and staff are all wonderful. The comprehensive programs they run really focus on all aspects of child development. The online app they use means I get to check in on some of what my son has been up to... like playing outside, field trips, creating artwork, etc. Thanks teachers and staff for your unconditional support!! :)

Finally, I am here!Our daughter has been at Dharma Care, which used to have a different name, for more than two years and three months now. Although they changed their name, I feel that the family guidelines are still present!Our daughter had a little more than two years and didn't know many English words. We taught her few English words like the basic ones, water, washroom, help, please and a few others. Now, she is our teacher!The Dharma Care staff was so confident, helpful and supported us since the first days. Actually, since the test period that we took her half a day. They helped her by being so kind, trying to speak with her giving the right directions on what and how to do different things.If I could break down a little the daycare qualities, I would say that:- The staff is excellent: Every day, professors (teaches) receive the kids at the front door and, when the day is over, they provide the daily feedback about our kids;- The Dharma Care facilities: This is a fantastic and spacious place where the kids have plenty of room inside and outside. They have many toys, books, and a great playground area.- The daycare provides snacks and fruits to our kids, and they are concerned about any possible allergies that our kids may have.- Every week, the parents receive the activity program on which the kids will work. That way, we can be aware of what our kids will be talking about and allowing us to participate even more in their learning.- During the summer, the daycare practice outdoor activities. The children are taken to the closest parks and sometimes to Burnaby Lake. These days the children have a lot of fun! And no worries, the professors are altogether taking care of them at all times.- The Dharma Care location is in a residential area and, this is good because there aren't many cars driving by. Also, they are one block ahead of Seaforth Elementary School.- There is a before and after school program. Families with working parents should pay attention to this.- The Dharma Care owners are present in the daycare daily. They make continuous improvements in different areas, like indoor and outdoor improvements, new books, learning materials, toys and many more. I want to highlight the mobile app on which we receive our kids' pictures doing their activities and announcements.I hope you had time and patience to read until here and, I hope that I was able to call your attention and desire to call Dharma care and book a visit. Dharma Kids Center is fantastic. They are very reliable and try and stay open to support parents. Continuous improvements are evident in everything they do, from the usage of the hi mama app to keep you updated on activities and your child's day to curriculum. Our daughter loves it there and actually complains when we come to pick her up as to why we came so soon!Folks are friendly and fantastic and there is a structured learning approach taken here which is wonderful for the child's development.Great all round and we highly recommend them!

My son has been at Dharma Kids Centre for around an year now. The teachers are very kind and loving and the best part is they share pictures and video of his activities everyday. I also get his worksheets at the end of each week which keeps me updated about his progress. He loves going there everyday and is having an amazing time.

**I don’t personally send my kids here, but I know of someone who has**They don’t allow parents in to check out the facilities whatsoever. I understand not letting adults in all the time for safety/security reasons (however, I don’t believe safety/security is a huge concern to them judging by their inspection) but most childcare centres offer some kind of in person tour of the facilities to get the kids (and parents) more comfortable with being left there all day.They also have poor results from an inspection done last summer, and were told to correct multiple contraventions. Basic childcare centre things like making sure the staff is ECE certified, or have valid criminal record checks or references checked before they are allowed to work with the kids. Quite alarming to not have certified/police cleared staff in the building that you’re supposed to never set foot in and leave your kids there all day. The inspection results are readily available online if you search for it on google.Don’t trust the positive reviews here, there is a reason they have 5 stars and only 20 reviews after being in business for years.

I can not say enough good about Dharma Kids Centre. The staff are all wonderful and treat the kids so well. My son has learned so much from his 3 years of being at this daycare, even how to grow different vegetables.So sad we have to leave, but definitely recommend Dharma Kids Centre for anyone thinking about attending this daycare.

Dharma Kids Centre is a wonderful facility with a diverse and caring staff. The owners, Megan and Jav, are wonderful people who showed dignity, community commitment, flexibility, and genuine concern for families during the pandemic crisis and those difficult times. Both my children really enjoyed their time at Dharma Kids. We were notified with lovely pictures and notes of their doings during the day. When my son had behaviour difficulties, they were kind and patient and helped with a behaviour plan that was instrumental in helping him get back on track. The facility is large with lots of toys, resources, and play room, and it is located walking distance from Burnaby Lake where they sometimes go for a walk and a duck visit. I always felt very comfortable to leave my kids in their care!
