Ottawa violin shop

I had a wonderful experience there! The day I bought my new violin I got help and advice from brett, the owner of the store and tom, a music teacher that works there. They were both very nice, patient and knowledgeble. The shop sells a lot of violins so whatever your budget, you will be able to find a violin there. I am very happy with the violin I bought and everything about the place. I think that the violin shop is the best violin store in town since I have had bad experiences with other violin stores in ottawa in the oast

Good prices and good service! Very satisfied with my purchases. This seems to be the only music store around that has some high-end nylon-string guitars in stock.

This place is off the hook. The proprietor is an exceptional person, the guitars are of high quality and the environment is very welcoming. No pretentious hipster nonsense. Great place for the beginner and the highly paid session player. Check it out. Small independent businesses such as this deserve our patronage.

visited the shop, found a violin I liked and I had the violin shipped to me across the country. Packing was excellent and the violin arrived in great condition. Very friendly and helpful

Sound Good Music Store is a hidden gem. One of the best place in Ottawa to find string instruments. Lots of beautiful quality instrument for a great price. I bought a Cordoba Mini O-CE and Loved it!!!The owner made me feel at ease to try out the instruments and had about 6 of them out of the stock room! :)There is a repair shop too.If you need to shop out of the normal hours, just call and make an appointment.Great services!

Reasonably priced on (great) quality brands that you usually can't find elsewhere in Ottawa. Would recommend for acoustic guitars and ukeleles.

This is a great place to visit if your looking for any type of stringed instrument as an individual starting out, or looking to add a good addition to your location. There are many things guitars, bass, violins, ukuleles and more. Accessories and cables. But furthermore what is good/best are prices and customer.You are always looked after and valued as a customer. Sometimes this is an issue I have seen over the years in the music business. But this is an area Bret excels at. Whenever I look for accessories from now on be it pedals, cables, cases for my studio this place is on the list. Adding this place to your list of places to contact and visit will make sure you are getting values and good products coming your way in no time.Alex

I don't think the owner/luthier has any clue about violin and bowed family instruments. The place is supposed to be part art store, violin shop and guitar shop. It's a mess with very unknowledgeable (Brent the owner? Some European man) staff. He seems to sell mostly junk with poorly fitted bridges etc but said he had nice stuff worth a lot of money. A total waste of time. Stick to The Sound Post or Guy Harrison if he's available. This place was a joke. I would rate Zero stars if possible for a violin shop""
