Incredible food. If you’re looking for an amazing steak dinner with some unique seafood dishes this is it. My husband was able to have true Wagu for the very first time and it was a very big deal. Everything from the staff to the food, to the decor is incredible ! We had such an amazing dining experience, we ended up bringing our work party there for a Christmas dinner. Highly recommend! Our servers name was Angel and she is amazing. Anything you order is guaranteed delicious and cooked to perfection. Chef even came out of the kitchen to check in on our dining experience. <3 just amazing ! We will be back, again and again.

We were lucky to experience Conversate the week it opened. The space is so beautiful! We sat in one of the round booths, and it was spacious and very comfortable. I can't wait to see it in the daylight- the windows are huge and the light will be stunning. Our server Erica was on point and had fun with my Husbands sarcastic humour, she made our night, and was very attentive to all our needs.The FOOD!! The food was incredible, and I can't wait to go back and try a few other things I saw on the menu. My Husband and i made sure to get different mains, and accompaniments to try as much as we could.To start I had the Heirloom Beet Salad and I loved the goat cheese, but the maple walnuts made the dish for me!My Husband had the charred octopus - and we both would have that again and again. It was cooked perfectly and the hummus was as pleasant surprise, I wouldn't have thought to pair them together-- but Chef clearly knows what's good :)We had the Striploin, and the ribeye -- again cooked to perfection. Good size portions and melt in your mouth steak.Accompaniments were Mac n Cheese, hasselback potatoes and the Mushroom trio. All scrumptious and paired wonderfully with our steaks.I took some of my meal home so I could save room for dessert and it was the best decision I made that night ... the Crème Brule Cheesecake was a showstopper... I will always save room for that!Looking forward to coming back- It was a wonderful night, and Jessica and Chef Mike were warm and welcoming to everyone that came through the door.Parking was right next to the restaurant, and the patio looks like it'll be amazing when the warmer weather comes.

Have been looking for a good steakhouse since we moved to Hamilton 3 years ago. Conversate just made the top of our list. Came across it on instagram, theyre brand new and just opened 2 months ago. Expected there to be some compromise since they were so new and maybe working out the kinks. There was nothing for them to work out. The quality of service, and food felt like the were veterans and around for the last 10 years. Gary our server was top tier, after dining in many restaurants in Hamilton I can say the service Gary provided was some of the best of any fine dining restaurant. Every dish tasted flavourful, well thought out, with great presentation.Highlights were the scallop potatoes, steak, lamb. (Banana bread butter to go with the bread was unique and delicious)Old fashion i ordered did leave something to be desired. It tasted a bit light for my personal preference, but I enjoy ordering one from each restaurant to see how they compare to one another.Will definitely be back looking forward to trying the rest of the dished to see if they are as good as the steak and lamb.Thanks Conversate and Gary!

I saw this place online as a new steakhouse in Hamilton. It is in the old historic Right House building. The furniture and decor are eclectic and unique. The chairs looked retro and were so comfortable like a warm hug. The food and service were amazing. The atmosphere was a good mix of clientele and the music was varying. I had the onion soup which was delicious. The bread came with a truffle chocolate butter with drizzled olive oil which had the most unique flavour. I had the wagyu steak feature with gnocchi. I’ve heard all about this wagyu steak and the hype is definitely for a good reason. It’s the most unique textured steak with a lot of perfect marbling that melts in the mouth. The wait staff were very accommodating and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return to try other dishes.

I recently visited Conversate and was blown away by the whole experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic evening. The servers were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable experience. The highlight of the night, however, was definitely the food. The steak was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great steak, top notch service, and an overall fantastic experience.

Thrilled to have a restaurant of this caliber added as an option in Hamilton (and to be clear, in addition to those already here)! Amazing food, ambiance and service! You can’t go wrong with anything you order, but be sure to try the baked oysters and (as a group) the tomahawk with all the fixings! Only suggestion would be to add a few more high end selections to the wine list, but the existing one does a great job of covering a solid range of choices.

My new favourite restaurant! What an experience. My husband and I attended Conversate last night for the first time and we will return. Right away when we walked in we were greeted by our friendly waiter, Chris, who offered to take our coats and throughout the evening he was ready to help us with food suggestions. The restaurant decor is beautiful and elegant. Premises are immaculately clean, the atmosphere is lovely and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. My husband and I had the shrimp with Portuguese pepper pimento paste, and octopus as appetizers; followed by surf & turf and steak Delmonaco, and a decadent bread pudding dessert recommended by Chris. We have already recommended this restaurant to a few of our friends and family and we will definitely return. 5 stars all the way. Thank you Jessica & Mike for creating such an elite and beautiful space in Hamilton. Almerinda & Onofrio

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Conversate recently and we were blown away by the atmosphere, service and delicious food and drinks! My striploin was cooked to perfection and was incredibly tender and flavourful. The seafood options were also outstanding - my husband got the King Salmon and said it was the best salmon he's ever had. The cocktails and wine selections were superb, I highly recommend the Gin and Jam and my husband loved the New York Sour. The wine was the perfect pairing with our entrees and there was a great selection.The service was top-notch as well - our server Angel was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was elegant and upscale, making for a lovely dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Conversate for a special night out or any occasion where you want to enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal with great drinks. We will be back!
