Best Jamaican spot in Durham (Ajax) Zac is the guy to speak to for excellent customer service and don’t forget this delicious food. Oxtail and jerk pork is my go to.

Food and service was good. A older couple own the place very friendly people. Found that meat portions provided were not filling and prices a bit high they charge extra for rice n peas.

I would like thank Greek Freak next door for not having Lamb on the menu. Decided to drive around the plaza and saw Tropical Delight. And WOW it did not disappoint. The couple working there were just the epitome of island hospitality. And the food “ very good “ is an understatement. Will make it a point to stop over for a bite anytime I’m heading that way

Driving through Pickering my wife had a hankering for Caribbean food; Google led us to Tropical, and it didn't disappoint! Incredible depth of flavor - food made with love. Highly recommend!

I had the most pleasant lunch today with my friend. The owner I presume, was so warm and welcoming, it felt like home, the restaurant was clean and well decorated and the food was pretty good. We sat outside and the owner came out with water for us... I was blown away by the exceptional service. I will definitely be back! P.s. the only thing I would recommend that was missing was some smooth reggae music :)

Not only were we greeted by a sweet warm and welcoming host. The atmosphere and decor let you know this place was once someone's dream that's come true.The food presentation was only 2nd bested to the taste! Amazing flavors you can feel came from generational recipes handed down.Highly recommended

Food was delicious, beautiful resturant, staff are super friendly and welcoming . Highly recommend the jerk chicken pizza and Jerk chicken plate.

This was an awesome Caribbean style eatery discovery that did not disappoint. The service was everything. So friendly, kind and helpful.The staff took her time to show us what was available and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the oxtail and jerk pork plate with cabbage and callaloo sides. We enjoyed everything we ordered including the homemade refresher drinks made of Sorrel and Mint that was *chefs kiss*.The portion sizes were generous and we enjoyed the atmosphere to sit outside and enjoy our meal. As if that was not all we took a slice of Ginger/Carrot cake to go and it was one of the tastiest slices I have had. Highly recommend and will return to try more options. Thank you so much again for your kindness and hospitality. Bless

Very very great spot located right in Ajax. Food was amazing and it wasn't hard to tell it's prepared fresh.Friendliest staff I've ever met from any sorts of dining experience.Full 10/5 stars. Thank you for the wonderful treatment !

This is the best Caribbean place I’ve ever been at. The service was incredible and the food was outstanding. Every dish there looked delicious, but I did the BBQ Jerk chicken and the jerk chicken in a small meal and it made my whole week.If I could give it 7 stars I would.The guy behind the counter was the absolute best, we bonded over an Argentinian mate conversation, couldn’t ask for more.
