Westmount Pharmacy

Westmount Pharmacy is a rip off. They charge the highest dispensing fees for horrible and rude service. They also continually have difficulty bringing up insurance policies, go figure!

Customer service has gone downhill so fast. Had so many problems here over the years, one of which being I was charged for an $450 IUD, to which I paid because I thought I would have to only for my doctor to say no no, I need to go back because they shouldn’t of charge me, as I’m covered under 25. When I brought back my receipt and ask for a refund, it was a big song and dance, and he said if I didn’t look so old, he wouldn’t have charged me lol. Today I was on the phone with them for 20 min while they tried to find my information and then refused to fill my prescription even though I had refills on file. Not fun

My wife was told her prescription would be ready by 3pm, but when I called to check on it, they said they couldn’t make it and she would have to wait till Monday to go to a different pharmacy. My wife was in a lot of pain and needed her prescription filled and Westmount failed us miserably. I had to race to Newcastle to get her prescription filled because I found out so late. We will never trust Westmount for our needs again.

Absolute garbage customer service. We called 3 times today, starting at 9am to get a prescription filled, each time the employee assured us it would be ready, and by 4pm it still had not been filled. If you are expecting a prescription to be sent over from your doctor, insist the person on the phone actually have it in their hands before you hang up. They NEVER check email or fax unless YOU tell them too!!! It never matters the time of day you go in, you will have to wait at least 20 mins because, even though you’ve called ahead of time, it’s never ready! Save your time and energy and just go to shoppers drug mart! I fully support local businesses but Westmount does nothing to actually try and keep your business.

Be aware if you call, ask for verification, explanation, and ask for understanding of what you are asking, double check the things they tell you at this pharmacy! This pharmacy has changed a lot recently. They are making errors with information and not understanding questions asked via phone. With all the respect in the world, there is unfortunately a major communication issue at this pharmacy. I speak clearly and concisely but they misunderstood or gave wrong info on two occasions in as many interactions I had with them (so, 100% of the time). I grew up in Peterborough and went here to this pharmacy my whole life. I was away; it has been about half a decade since I have used Westmount pharmacy. Recently I was back in Peterborough and had to call them. Surprisingly, they gave incorrect info regarding a medication now available without prescription. They erroneously said they could not dispense. The error caused me to go to a walk in clinic for 5 hours seeking prescription I didn't need. I eventually realized the mistake, called back and went in to pick up. They were nice and waived the fee for this error! That was so nice of them. But, a different time within this same month, I scheduled a delivery well in advance. It was an hour late, so I called to ask did you forget me?" (in case I needed to go pick it up) to which the guy answered happily "yes"

I am now a customer at another pharmacy because after 20+ years of excellent customer service things have gone downhill very quickly since the new management took the reins. Nothing like the pharmacy it use to be. On top of that the dispensing fees are the highest in town. Why more? is your medication better? Your customer service sure isn’t……

It is a master piece, a well designed place in terms of open space, architecture and service. It is not your normal pharmacy, it’s very attractive and elegant. It was done as a replica of an old pharmacy. Service is great and stuff were very helpful. You will be wondering in this place, it’s a breath taking. It is like a library with a unique test. I’m sure owner has put a lot of his thought to make such a master piece.

I noticed how helpful one employee was with an elderly man. Respect.

The WORST pharmacy in all of Peterborough. Continuously get Prescriptions wrong, not enough medication, extreme filling fees and horrible customer service. Do NOT recommend

Very disappointed. Took a prescription in to be compounded and came out will lorazepam that were not even cut exactly in half
