Value Village

I recently visited Value Village, hoping to find some affordable treasures and unique items. However, I left feeling disappointed with their pricing strategy. The prices at Value Village are shockingly high, sometimes comparable to those found in antique stores.It's disheartening to see a thrift store, which is typically associated with affordable and budget-friendly shopping, adopt such inflated pricing. The essence of thrift shopping is to find hidden gems at reasonable prices, but Value Village seems to have missed the mark on this.While I understand that some items may hold more value due to their rarity or unique qualities, it's frustrating to see everyday items priced at levels that are simply unreasonable. It's as if Value Village is trying to position itself as an upscale vintage or antique store rather than a thrift store catering to those in search of affordable second-hand goods.This pricing strategy alienates the very customers that thrift stores often attract, such as students, young families, and bargain hunters. It's unfortunate because Value Village has the potential to be a great resource for those looking for affordable and sustainable shopping options.I would suggest Value Village reevaluates their pricing strategy and focuses on providing more reasonable and accessible prices. After all, the true beauty of thrift stores lies in their ability to make unique and affordable finds accessible to everyone.Overall, my experience at Value Village left me disappointed due to their high prices and the feeling that I was shopping at an antique store rather than a thrift store. I hope they consider adjusting their pricing strategy to better align with the expectations of their customers.

Usually don’t do this but the lady with the KITH shirt , big nose and glasses should not work there . She’s rude , unpleasant and has RBF . She also prices the items she puts out extremely high . Like you guys get the clothes for free. Why are you pricing t shirts for over 15 dollars. Terrible. I offered to pay 10 and she refused. Will not return to this location anymore due to how greedy the are . Value village is getting out of hand. Becoming less affordable for the people that need it. Disgusting

I am only selecting 1 star because there is no option to select zero. Tonight I had a horrible customer experience. Who ever the employees were around 7:58 tonight standing at the self checkout I want management to know they need to stay home. The staff was unpleasant, didn't show any desire to work and not helpful at all. I have shopped at various locations and this was by far the worst customer service i received. If a customer buys a piece of furniture it is courtesy for the store to render some assistance in getting the item to the customers car. Do better Value Village Pickering!

It's a big, bustling place that frequently has electronic & book treasures for me & my family to find. There are a ton of items to peruse & they have a big parking lot, just off of Kingston Rd.If you're lucky to go there when they have their clothing sale, I'd recommend it!

Large, well organized value village. Was a pleasure to stop by here. Their prices were also pretty fair. Wish they dedicated a bit more space to home decor.

it is what it is. you can find some super unique and cheap things here.you have to be cautious when buying items, they like to price things higher than what they are originally sold for. some of the books that are being sold here for $5.99 can be found at indigo for 3/$7.

Been to many value village across the city.  This one by far seem to have more better selection of items and less busy ..Don't know if its the day I'm going today (Wednesday ) but lots of good options.. and less busy compare to the other ones..Place is big ,spacious and clean

I stopped here to make a donation from a big kitchen cleanup I've finished. Old pots, pans, dishes, and glassware. The donation process was super easy, and they were friendly and helpful. I received a coupon for the donation, so I decided to see what was inside. I found a couple of great items and even a few records I wanted. All in all, it is a great place and seems to be a massive resource for good in the city.

The biggest Value Village I've ever visited! Great selection of items and I found the pricing to be a bit cheaper than other locations. I found some pieces that I'm really proud about at a good price!

Great place to find second hand stuff. They even sometimes do 50 percent off. They give 7 days exchange warranty and don’t accept refunds. Its located on kinston rd and 38. Must visit place occasionally you can find something good for you. Stuff is also nicer than other shop i visited in Victoria Park avenue.
