Cozy, chalet-style space with a fantastic selection of house brews as well as cocktails and ciders. Their menu is exactly what you'd want after a day of skiing or hiking -- soups, fries, sandwiches piled high with toppings. Live music happens often, plus game nights, trivia matches, and more. The heart of the community!

Terrible service and possible hostility to those of non-Quebec origin. At the restaurant, had to approach the wait staff multiple staff to receive the most basic service. Received snide comment in French. The wait staff did not realize I am fluent in French.

This review is about the restaurant.The worst experience I have had in my entire life. Not even worth the one star.Not from the town or from Quebec. Went there with a friend, the waiter sat us down at a dirty table that he said he will clean shortly. The table was never cleaned, we were not offered neither the menu nor even a glass of water. The waiter kept sitting other people and ignoring us the entire time. No other staff member even though to check on us. This is was the case for 15 minutes!! We just left obviously.Absolutely disrespectful. Absolutely unacceptable level of service. Absolutely horrible. Wouldn't recommend for even someone I hate.Just simply don't go

We waited over 25 minutes to get service. I had to go get the waiter in the end. We got the food before the beers (over 30 minutes). I had to get up again and ask for the beers. Nachos were very average tasting. The deer burger was extremely dry and drenched in BBQ and mayo sauce. Fries were actually stale and hard to chew. Server didn’t even ask why my plate was basically untouched when they came to clean up. The rest of my table also were displeased with their meals.Extremely disappointing.

We went there for dinner and the bison burger was just amazing. The fries were fresh and well seasoned and the salad was very refreshing too. We also got some good poutine which was good. We had the beer from the brewery and liked it very much. Our server and host was very kind and friendly.

Stayed one night in hostel, nice set up for a shared room, good showers. Good to have an afford option for accommodation. Restaurant was great, the was food tasty but service was a little slow.

As someone coming from out of province (and out of country) my group and I were very pleased at the service and even more so the quality of the food.The waitress was very quick to switch to English to accommodate my anglophone friends. The restaurant has classic chalet vibes and is situated in a beautiful location.I will be taking my friends here anytime I am looking to impress them with what Val David has to offer !
