I recommend Uptown Village Optometry. Dr. Youck takes great care of his patients. No matter how busy the clinic is, you never feel rushed.

I have been a patient of Uptown Village Optometry for a couple of years now and Dr. Youck and his team provided excellent care for me during a traumatic partial retinal detachment. I had a lot of questions about what was happening to my eye and Dr.Youck took the time to explain what was happening to me, shared what next steps he was going to take with specialists, treatment, etc, and answered all of my questions - there were a lot. The staff at the front who checked me in are also fantastic and were able to get me in for an appointment right away! I've since had a follow-up appointment with them and the entire team has been fantastic in providing me with care - even helping answer questions about glasses and contact lenses.I don't want to down play anyone's poor experience, but the 1-star rating here seems misdirected to this practice (e.g the doctors and staff), and it sounds like it should be directed at the retail operation next to them. Having said that, the safety precautions in place made me feel beyond safe to be in their retail space and in the practice space. It is trying times and with new rules and regulations needed to ensure everyone's health and safety, it's a shame that customers can't be polite and more kind about the measures and policies put in place to keep everyone safe.I highly recommend Uptown Village Optometry.

My main reason for the rating is because they really know their way around insurance, and the doctor himself was incredibly sweet and patient.Sadly. Although their forms offer a preferred name space, it a gamble as to whether or not it will be used. My polite request to be addressed correctly was met with excuses related to MSP and a suggestion I have my name legally changed. I'm not sure why they have the field if this is how they intend to act about it.Exam was easy and pleasant. Optometrist was understanding, didn't try and pushes lens sales, made sure insurance would cover everything.

I was there for a baseline eye exam, the reception staff was absolutely friendly and the doctors completely professional. They provide you with fast and excellent attention, however it's preferable to make an appointment before hand.

Literally my worst experience with an optometrist ever. My appointment was at 3:45, I didn't get into the examination room till almost 5. The appointment took nearly an hour while I watched the optometrist fumble around inputting information into the tablet, to be rushed out the door at 6 not even able to order my glasses. The only saving grace was the amazing receptionist who helped me wander and pick out some glasses while I waited.... though I wasn't even able to order them.

I had an absolutely excellent here. Very professional and accommodating. I had to update my prescription for my glasses urgently, Denise was able follow up and accommodate me. Top notch , 100% recommend.Thanks for taking such good care of me!

I am so impressed with Dr. Li's high level of service and dedication to her patients. I feel that she is as concerned about my (eye) health as I am. I have never felt that way with any other health professional. Thank you so much Dr. Li.

My experience here from start to finish was stellar. The ladies at the front were pleasant, funny, and competent.My exam with Dr. Youck was very impressive. I felt completely relaxed and comfortable because I could just feel I was in good hands. He's knowledgeable and experienced. Super friendly and professional throughout the entire exam.This is my new go to location for eye care in Victoria and it certainly should be yours too.Note: They share a space with Optiks International but are an independent business.

Dr. Kevin Youck and his staff are nothing short of phenomenal. Getting my first pair of glasses as an adult was intimidating but they made the process very straight forward and easy. The staff are all friendly and very approachable and their passion for the work they do is obviousHe has been very kind about answering all sorts of questions I have, even when I feel they're a bit silly to ask. He's never condescending and will explain things thoroughly to alleviate any concerns you haveWould not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family, I will definitely keep going here.
