Athena Fencing Club
The fencing club is located in the Kensington area on Hastings street. It is fairly central for a fencing studio with easy access to anyone near SFU mountain, Port Moody, East Vancouver, North Burnaby, and even New Westminster.The owner, Julie, is a wonderful fencing coach who is energetic, experienced, patient, and caring. The community is full of great parents and kids who are interested in the sport of fencing. I ended up purchasing my own gear, but they have all the equipment available with clothing sizes from kids to adults.Definitely recommend signing up for a trial class and trying out this fast paced Olympic sport!

I recently participated in a one-day fencing open game in Vancouver while attending an academic conference. The coach and club members at Athena Fencing Club were incredibly kind and friendly. They were all enthusiastic about fencing and made me feel welcome. The coach was not only kind but also actively involved in our games, providing instructions and feedback to help us improve. Despite being there for just a day, she offered me a lot of assistance. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and highly recommend engaging with Athena Fencing Club. Wish only the best for Julie and her club!

recently had the pleasure of trying out a class at Athena Fencing Club. I was surprised by the incredible energy and enthusiasm coach Julie showed. She was so passionate and I felt very welcomed at my first lesson.This was my very first fencing session and I’ll def keep coming back.

I really enjoyed my first time fencing at Athena. A very welcoming atmosphere is created by Julie and her students. Julie is an amazing coach. She is kind, energetic and knowledgeable. The facility is nice and all the equipment is provided. Be prepared to work hard, learn a lot and have fun! Highly recommend!

Such great friendly coach. Thank you Julie, My son had his first trial class with you, he has grown to love the sport!!Membership is available monthly and there are openning half price promotion now. Whoever interested in fencing, i think this is the time to start!!Couch Julie dose a great job at training. My child and I signed up for monthly. We are super excited about going to our fencing classes at Athena Fencing Club!!

My experience at Athena Fencing Club has been nothing short of delightful, in my scant 3 months here, I feel that I've learned an immense amount from the wonderful coach Julie. The community is very friendly and welcoming, and classes are plenty of fun, as well as an effective workout. Highly recommended.

Unlike other fencing clubs we have visited, this club focuses on smaller classes and more personal coaching. Better yet, they don't pressure you to pay up front for expensive equipment. The coach is very professional but still nice and caring to students and parents alike. My kids love her!!

So fun! I’ve been looking for a new activity to try. I decided to do a trial class here after hearing great things about their club. I finished the class feeling super accomplished, and wanting more! This place is awesome! The staff is super friendly, patient and informative. Great way to get a workout in while learning a cool sport!!!

I recently played at the indoor fencing for first time, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations everything. The club is well-maintained, most equipment are excellent condition. What i love most about the club is the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The staff and members are always ready to lend a helping hand and make new members feel comfortable.overall, I highly recommend the Athena Fencing Club to anyone looking for a great experience, learn fencing and meet new people.
