Day & Ross

Ok... there are a lot of negative reviews here... maybe your experience is different, but the people at this facility are stellar. They brought in a truck with my order ahead of queue by about a day or so in order to off-load cargo vital for my business operations in Wildland Fire. Everyone I met here, from Ian in the back office to his other staff were couteous, friendly and tried their absolute best. I've worked 30 yrs at a very high level in recruiting in Asia and North America. I pointed out that their space was cramped, dusty and not the best for them and that Day and Ross had better invest in a better location. They agreed, but told me that there was absolutely no other locations rentable in Nanaimo. The could have also mildly slagged off their company with at least a mild complaint but they told me that Day and Ross was great company to work for. And so in my books they did everything absolutely correctly. Hopefully in future Day and Ross has a plan to expand to a new facility and give these employees a better work location. Will keep shipping with D&R

We have been waiting for a delivery since March 23rd. Their 800 number won’t answer, messages not answered. Home Depot could not get through to them until Friday April 8.The excuse is they need more manpower. I am sorry but you know the freight that you are responsible for, and the customer ordered it in good faith. If you hadn’t driven in all these rediculous truck convoys the customers delivery would have been delivered. You are a very poor company and unfortunately I hope I never have to deal with them again. Home Depot needs to drop you from their list of delivery companies. Poor poor . Would never recommend this company!

Deliveries in Nanaimo are backlogged 2 weeks. I ordered a trailer online from Home Depot on May 13th. It was shipped from Ontario May 27 and arrived in Nanaimo June 2nd and there it sits.

Unbelievable incompetence and lack of customer service. Supposed to pick up on Monday...waited all day...nope they forgot. Reschedule for Friday. Take the day off work again and wait...and wait. Phone the 1 800 number and they didn't assign a driver. Promised they would fix it and I waited all afternoon. Phone at the end of the day...nope no pick up, we will reschedule for Monday! How does this company even stay in business! No phone calls. No apologies. No f...s given. Never use this company!

We have been waiting for a Home Depot delivery for 3 weeks! The website portal details are not updated, numerous calls lead to a run around or confirmation that it's on the truck and soon to be delivered. That was 5 days ago! It's understood that weather and short staffing can cause delays, but the lack of communication or updates is appalling.

worst delivery company i have ever used. I have ordered from walmart a couple times and they use Day Ross. My packages have never ever arrived on time. I have been waiting to do live chat for 3 hrs and still no one. I called and was on wait forever so hung up. they have changed my delivery times a couple times. now it was due today but nothing. It isnt out for delivery and I have a feeling I will be waiting a whole lot longer. Its extremely frustrating. I have never delbt with a delivery company this horrible ever. it was supposed to take a week and it has almost been 2 weeks and no updates for days.

Surfboard was delivered from Ontario to Nanaimo in under one week. Nanaimo Warehouse staff and delivery driver were super helpful in coordinating a convenient drop off time and overall great to deal with!

I have been waiting for an item to arrive from Richmond, BC for over two weeks. I am on Vancouver Island (so not very far). I went on the live chat and found out it got shipped somewhere else in the country and now they cannot provide tracking info?? I deal with all the major shipping companies and these clowns are by far the worst!

Very disappointed with Day & Ross services. I ordered some equipment from Ontario in March to be delivered to Vancouver Island on April 4. Today is April 24 and still no delivery. I spoke with several customer representative (most were polite and friendly) but I got so many reasons for the delay and no ETA. I think they should change the recording while you wait for a long time to speak with someone where it says they will deliver on time and good condition…If they are too busy, they shouldn’t take any more parcels because they are not likely to have repeat customers with poor service and communication

One star is actually too much. Shipment is a week late already, customer service non-existent. Already spent hours on the phone trying to find out what exactly is going on. We've been shipping LTL inbound and outbound for over 25 years and this is by far the worst carrier I have ever had to deal with. DO NOT trust your freight to these jokers, there are far better companies to handle your freight
