Mashawee Mediterranean Grill
This food is literally so good and the portion sizes are very nice. I went there on Friday, February 18th for a chicken platter and a beef platter (with a vine/grape leaf on the side) and my friend could not stop talking about how good the food was too. The employees were very helpful and let me test out a few things to make sure I'd like it before buying, and they gave their expert opinion where necessary. We both plan to make this place a favourite for the future and I for sure am letting everyone I'm in contact with know how good the food is as well.Edit: there was a hair in my food :(

The food quality is bad and had significantly dropped since the last two years. I wouldn't consider this authentic Arab food, it's just a weird hybrid. Portions are good, I'll give them that, but considering the quality of the food the price is rather expensive. No way a dish like that should cost me ~20. It's a shame because the owners (Abu Ahmed and Umm Ahmed) are very friendly. Location is decent as well, considering it is in the middle of downtown.Personally, I would skip this one and try out other resutaurants nearby

The food is good. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and my friend tried the dinner special. The wrap was really nice, whereas the dinner special was a little bland to our liking. But all in all it was good experience.

Dry and super salty chicken and garlic potatoes. Worst customer service they will charge you full price and forget items in your order!! I placed a large order of 3 shawerma, chicken plate and 2 large garlic potatoes, waited over 40mins and thankfully I checked my order just to see that they forgot my garlic potatoes and waited another 10mins for it. We asked for extra garlic sauce and there was none. I paid for the chicken shawerma plate and presentation was poor, it looked like they just threw it all together and it was missing the sauces and cole slaw… I called the owner after getting home and she HUNG UP on me because it was “busy” she should’ve offered better hospitality and should’ve been more customer friendly as I was fully charged and missing items in my orderTo make matters worse, on their website they advertised 19.95, 8.95 but will round up and charge you $20, $9, its not a large amount but it’s deceiving advertisement and shady to run a business this way. I’ve never experienced that type of hidden up charge in any other restaurants

I just picked up my order from this place. A large chicken shawarma that was thrown together without care, 3 beef samosas which were actually paper thin eggs rolls and disgusting. And a half grilled chicken with yellow rice. The grilled chicken was gross! Extremely dry. The best part about the meal was the burnt fries and the hummus and garlic sauce. IF THAT! For $39 this whole meal was TERRIBLE. I will never order from here again

The food is very tasty. The lamb was very moist and tender, the rice was cooked perfectly, and above all, the humus tasted amazing! What was even better than the food was the Turkish guy, the Palestinian lady, and the Lebanese man and woman. They were very hospitable and nice!

12 June 2023: Good rice and half grilled chicken, for 15.99 it seemed like a wonderful choice. It had both quantity and taste. Would love to go and try it once again.22 June 2023: Went there for lunch, but they have increased the prices by almost $2-3 which does not make the food worth it. I have heard that the food prices have doubled over the past 12 months, which is not the case with other restaurants. Expensive choice now, not for regular meals.

Early morning - Their open sign wasn’t lit up, but I still walked in. Was still able to order food as they were preparing to set up the place for the day, which was rlly convenient for me as I was super hungry. I got shawarma with the works and 3 samosas, the place had a homely atmosphere and smelt really nice from all the different spices in the food. Big shawarma for the price and each of the three samosas were different and each tasted good and delicious in their own way.

MUST TRY - The wraps are amazing and the perfect size for lunch. Had the chicken wrap and OH MY GOD it was delicious.My colleagues also ordered the Kufta platter and were very pleased with them. I had a bite of it as well and was loving it. The size would have made a better supper for me though.
