Great spot to learn and practice mountain biking. The dirt is a little loose, but I might just have been unlucky. There's not a lot of blue, and almost no black trails. Its mostly for beginners and family. There's also a lot of great spot to take a walk in the woods.

What a gem!... right in my backyard and I didn't even know it. Beautifully groomed winter trails for snowshoeing, hiking and cross-country skiing. Perfect!

Had an awesome time Snowshoeing on the trails and feeding the birds. There are some many trail options, Cross-country skiing, dogsledding, big tire biking, snowshoeing, hiking, etc.

Awesome trails especially for younger riders. There are little side trails that make it a bit more difficult, awesome place. Bring big spray though

I've been road and mountain biking for years and fat biking on beaches, but not on snow. This is a great place for learning how to winter fat bike where the terrain is not crazy hard. J.S. in the visitor center was super helpful, gave me good advice on tire pressures and was pleasure to speak to!

Great mountain bike trails maintained by the Ottawa Mountain Bike Association. Even better in the winter for fat-biking!

Larose Forest has a network of trails idea for beginners to more advanced riders. Great family riding destination. While not technical, the area offers flowing single track that is mostly sand so they handle we weather well. In the winter the trails are groomed for fat biking and there is a minimum tire size of 3.8 inches enforced December till end of March. If you plan to be a regular the land owners require users to have an Ottawa Mountain Bike Association membership for insurance reasons. The area is also used for dog sled training so check the land owners website for rules regarding dogs.
