Kanata Shoe Repair is Hazeldean Mall’s anchor store. Excellent craftsmanship, quality products, kind service. I’ve brought in a damaged messenger bag and a leather boot with a ripped zipper. Both times I received a repaired item that looked and functioned better than when it was new.

I brought them a project...turn three military bandoliers into a motorcycle tank bag. They did an A1 job at a great price. I would highly recommend. Great work, fast service and a good price.

Brought my old boots in hoping to have the zippers replaced. The owner gave me a quote which I was about to accept. He then convinced me that I would be better off getting a new pair of boots instead having them repaired. I was very impressed by and appreciative of his honesty, especially during these difficult times for many of the small businesses.

Mixed results. I have sometimes had excellent service and value from this shop. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was not as good. Quality and price were not aligned, I didn’t get what I asked for and the appearance of the shoes was permanently but unintentionally altered. I don’t know what the difference was - perhaps there are different people who do the work, or perhaps workload was heavier recently and the work was rushed? I don’t know. Disappointed, though.
