I have to say for food based in a mall, let’s start off with the presentation a 5/5 for sure. I ordered a Salmon Tendon bowl and you know what the taste was great, I liked it. It had great flavours and I enjoyed having the sauce on the side, it comes in a nice little bottle. Presentation gets full starts. But overall as a meal, it is quite portioned on the smaller side, but a positive being that the tempura was crispy. It is similar to Tendon Kohaku by Madison St near Brentwood. The only negative I have to say is that I did find the tempura to be a bit too oily and greasy but that’s just my opinion. The runny egg made the taste a lot better though! Overall I would give this place a 4/5, most coming from the presentation. For price 3/5 and for flavour and taste 3.5/5

BECAUSE I'M HERE FOR THE UDON. If you're looking for thinly sliced, flavourful, yet non-soggy udon--this place is amazing! Also it's in the foodcourt so it's efficient and speedy<3.Inaniwa udon is made using a recipe that dates back to 1665. And while the noodles are much thinner than the regular udon noodles

Food: 9.5/10Well presented, the miso soup for the chicken tendon is on point, as well as the tendon lunch itself. Each piece complements each other to make a great palate altogether. Well done.Service: 10/10Htet was the staff here and she provided a stellar service as she tried to accommodate my requirements. Thank you for your and the staff’s hard work.Atmosphere: 9.5/10Staff there wears a white uniform, and they even wear chef hats and masks (to promote food safety). Long hair is tied back or bundled up. Everyone is working harmoniously and I really appreciate the atmosphere that they represent. Well done!

I usually eat at Robson location, since they close that location, I tried this food court location in Brentwood. Restaurant experience is better than in food court since they served in disposable bowl and utensils, there is no extra empty bowl to put aside some tempuras. But the concern is the conger eel on my premium tendon, the batter was undercooked and too thick. Some of the reviewers also mentioned this. Too bad, never happened on the restaurant.

First time having Tendon. Their fruit tea was decent, refreshing and not too sweet.Tempura batter was fairly light, was expecting some tempura sauce though. What really threw me for a loop was their bowl (see photo). There's a plastic layer that makes the big bowl shallower. Waste of plastic + misleading as your big" bowl is actually only half as deep."

5 stars for food court standard. The portion is small but the food is amazing. we ordered the Ebi tendon and oyster tendon . It was delicious. We will come back and order again next .

First time being in Brentwood Mall after its new rephrasing. Per my wife, there is a famous Japanese tempura in the food court, it is conveniently to locate. I checked the menu on the display and ordered a Special Tendon, which consists of a White fish, shrimp, kakiage (mixed seafood tempura), soft boiled egg, seaweed, green bean. I asked the server to have the teriyaki sauce on the side, as I don't want to get the tempura soggy. In general, the tempura is fresh, but the food is truly 炸物" - i.e. something fried. Firstly the kakiage are two tiny cuttle fish cubes. White fish

It is nice that the food court experience becomes more pleasurable with better cutlery, packaging, etc. Take-out packaging of the Special Tempura Bowl at Kaneko Hannosuke surprised me in a good way, as it is immaculate. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the meal for me. Food-wise, egg tempura was great; I can't say I've tried anything like that before. But everything else was very mediocre and unmemorable. It is a bunch of deep-fried items and plain rice, making a pretty dry combination. It was missing some binding element, maybe a sauce or something, and provided soy sauce wasn't enough, at least for my liking.

The food of course is as good as their first location in Vancouver which has already closed down a few weeks ago. We always order their premium tempura and it never disappoints. There is no table service here as it's in the mall's food court. The food court on the other hand is clean and new. Looks like an airport lounge somewhere. Their take out boxes looks decent and nice. It is still my favorite place for tempura rice.

Nice tempura, hot and crispy and fresh.Scallops were cooked perfectly, as was the egg. I like getting sauce on the side to choose my own adventure. Nice packaging, the double bowl is practical for ten don.Miso soup was a little bland, maybe it was off the top without a stir because it looked beautifully rich.Otherwise, tempura flavours were good, exactly what I expected and executed well. Great option in the food court and well beyond what's usually expected at a mall food court.A bit of a wait but that's also to be expected for lunch on a weekend.
