Great portion size, tasty chicken. Usually ask for less rice and more coleslaw to balance it out. Chicken is nice and juicy, a tad on the spicy side but that’s how I like it.

This is easily the best Jamaican food I had in a long time at a reasonable price! The jerk chicken literally melts in your mouth. It’s packed with spice but not enough to burn your tongue. The portion size is very generous,you can eat then come back for seconds later. It’s mainly carry out so the seats inside are limited. The food prep is right before you so no waiting until the cooks get finished. First time visiting this restaurant as a tourist and won’t be the last!

My friends were visiting me and I took them to this location and the food was horrible. We ordered escoveith fish and it was full of vinegar and tasted horrible. They told us they would never change it, is not like we were asking for refund. This experience was horrible and I would never recommend anyone to this location.

Below average food honestly :/ jerk chicken was decent but the rice and peas were lacking salt and missing a lot of flavour despite being drenched in gravy which I assume was meant to mask the lack of flavour. Worst of all was the coleslaw. I normally like coleslaw but the coleslaw here tasted like cabbage mixed with just mayo and no seasoning.The spot itself is nice looking and has good seating, unfortunately the food needs fixing

Love their curry chicken (wish it has bones for more flavour but the potatoes in curry chicken add a nice touch of flavour) and their curry goat.. my usual go-to stuffs.. best when served on a bed of rice and peas! I don't know how they make it or what quality of rice it is. It is just delicious! These curries have just the right level of spice in them.. highly recommended.. plus certain staff members are super friendly and patient..

Nice little spot, awesome music selection. I wasn’t aware it was cafeteria style, was under the impression it was a sit down restaurant, although they do have an area where you’re able to sit in the window as well as picnic tables outside, so it worked out just fine. As for the food, we ordered an oxtail plate, the meat was tender, the gentleman was about to give us the last bits in the container until I asked how long on fresh meat. The oxtail lacked seasoning, the gravy also had a heavy powder taste to it. We also had jerk chicken, it was just ok, tender for the most part, they offered thighs, I would have preferred legs or wings. Good portions.

Decent portions for the price. Getting a side of sweet plantain is a must! There can be a bit of a wait and it gets pretty hot inside during the summer, so order ahead if you can.

Really wanted to try some Carribean food. We ordered the small Oxtail plate with coleslaw and the Jerk Chicken with Coleslaw. Super hungry and I absolutely crushed the food. The Jerk Chicken was seasoned really well, the oxtail was nice and tender. Overall good place and the trays were packed too, didn’t skimp out of anything!

This was great for a lunch time meal sitting on their outdoor patio. The jerk chicken and bbq were amazing! The veggies and rice were spectacular and tasty. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a filling meal. I’m going to take my friends there when I come back!

I’ve frequently visited the Fort York location over the last three years; especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic.From the first time to the last visit (July 7, 2023), I’ve only experienced good service, good food and and cordial interactions with staff and customers alike.Special mention to Brian and Nimo who made a good day even better while I was picking up dinner on the way home. Cheers!
