Kibo Sushi House - Cabbagetown

I always feel refreshed and revitalized after spending lunch here. I request certain changes to my food due to dietary restrictions, and the chef and staff are always so kind and willing to make my visit a pleasant one. The chef, by the way, is extremely talented. I feel like I can take anything on at work when I eat their food!

Found this place on a whim (pre-COVID) and thoroughly enjoyed my experience! The food was fairly priced and the quality matched it well. Although the portions were a touch smaller than what I'd hoped for, the service was great and made my time there much more enjoyable. I enjoyed a chicken bento dinner when I visited, but I'd be interested in trying their sushi/sashimi another time.

No matter which Kibo Sushi is closest to you they all have the same exacting standards for the freshest fish, outstanding rice and creative combinations. They do incredible creative dishes as well. I am a huge fan of the rare beef tataki and their rolls are amazing. There is also a great Saki collection. Eat in or take out it is always beautifully presented. Do not miss it. I really like Kibo Sushi House. I come here a lot. Good place to go for take-out and sit-in. The presentation is beautiful, the quality is fresh and the portions are sizable for a good price.They also offer a cash discount. Quick & friendlt service. Modern interior, fine washrooms.

Kibo Sushi House had exceptionally fresh and delicious vegan sushi. They had large portions and I was unable to finish my food. I underestimated the portions. The rice and nori quality was great. The vibe inside was chill and the service was quick and friendly.

I just love this small space. Its great for casual date nights since its open til 10:30pm and great for lunch. They have a GREAT take-out offer; Cash Only selection of fresh made sushi for 5$ each tray. Totally amazing. The sushi quality is great too. Ive eaten at alot of sushi restaurants in Toronto - downtown and this one is in my top 8. Its priced right for the quality you get. Service is great too. Always friendly and smiling. I usually pick up the dynamite roll pick up and so much more. They do deliver. You gotta try their Tataki salmon or albacore tuna. Also the kamikaze roll,lobster tail and creamy garlic dragon are my faves. The pics are from their 5$ pick up selection CASH ONLY!

Waitress was apologizing for a delay - no worries it was Pride Sunday so we knew it was going to be busier.Good was great, nicely served. I loved the selection of tempura. Beautifully cooked, crunchy and delicious.

Food-wise, Kibo Sushi House is good. I’d rate it 3.5 stars.I started coming here February 2023 because my child attends Kumon across the street. Im mostly a cash & carry customer as we don’t have much time to dine in. But the females who work here have some sort of attitude issues. They aren’t friendly, especially the one who worked on Saturday March 4 at 4pm. Maybe she’s on her period or something but they seriously need to change their attitude towards their customers!

Review updated fall 2018. The huge portions they were doing when they reopened have ended. Quality has decline a tiny bit too. But service is great, and the quality is still fantastic. If they lowered their prices a tiny bit and increased their portions slightly this would definitely be a 5 star restaurant.
