Redwood Restaurant

Most of the food tasted very bland and flavourless. The cheese used for the Poutine had an odd sponge texture to it. Fries very not good tasting at all. We had mac n cheese bits, battered mushrooms, and fried mozzarella sticks. They were all ok, however they all taste as though they are bought down the street at the grocery store then thrown in the deep fryer. The coleslaw tasted great. Gravy was somewhat bitter tasting. Would not go back here ever.The service was okay other than cold mac n cheese bites and the unwillingness to make a side fry into a Poutine, knowing that we would be charged.Do not recommend.

Have been stopping here as a meeting location for years on our way to an annual curling spiel in Kincardine. 8 of us around a table, digging in to some great breakfast, good service, and nice location. Interesting how a restaurant can create so many memories of annual trips and meals. Thanks for the great service and food! Definitely worth stopping in for breakfast if you are looking for something familiar.

Good Food , good people! Busy place...they aren't mind readers, so... you'll have to let them know when u need something...etc. and i like how they've freshened up the menu. Because if you don't change things sometimes, then the only people your going to impress are the ones that ate there years ago...not the people coming in your door today!

My wife and I stopped in one snowy January day for lunch. I ordered the Redwood Burger and was pleased with it. The burger was hot and flavourful and the side of fries was delicious, even though there were more fries than any human should eat in one sitting. My wife ordered nachos, and she loved them. The chips themselves were delicious and the serving was more than sufficient. The onions were very plentiful, however. She picked off about 1/4 cup of onions while eating some of them. Granted, she could have asked for no onions, but that’s a lot of onions even if you like them. The service was decent. There was a bit of a wait, with only one waitress serving the entire place. The cream pie pieces we had for dessert were huge, and the flavour to match. I had a coconut cream and my wife had a raspberry cream, both of which were well worth the $3.95 per. In all, we spent about 1 hr. 10 minutes here and $41.64, not including tip. We recommend this place as a place to get delicious food, just not if you’re in a hurry.

Service has gone down a little with the new owners. Had to ask a few more times then we should have for extra napkins and refills on water... specials no longer come with dessert and hard to justify it as a special" if all you're saving is $0.25. I understand it's new management and maybe they are still learning but 3 stars is all I could mister. Prices seem a little high for the service and quality you're getting now. Probably won't be back."

I used to skip school thirty years ago and hide out here! Love this place.
