Cliff's Plumbing and Heating

This is a great company. Their plumbers are polite, professional, quick and competent. Always within scheduled time frame. I have found they also come with both plumber and helper. Which really saves time.

My rating and review is based on their charges. We have used this company 3 times, each time two individuals arrived and therefore we were charged for two people. The first two times the jobs were bigger, so we let it go because two people might have been required for the job. The last and final time we will ever call this company was for a simple one person job, however two showed up and we were charged 125.00/ hour. When I called to discuss why two showed up for a simple one person task, we were told “ well we have apprentices to train”. That maybe, but that is not my problem! Why do I need to pay for an apprentice to stand watching this simple task being done. At very least this company should be up front and advising their client when booking the call that two people will be charged for the call. If that had happened, I certainly would have called a different company and paid half the charge. When I called to complain the response was “ well that is the way it is”. No acknowledgement that they have a responsibility to advise their clients of their outrageous charges. I’m thinking, do they not also get some kind of funding from the government for apprentice training, if so why is the client paying so much? Will never call Cliff’s again! There are many other plumbing companies out there to call where apprentices are not part of the charges.

Customer relations is a complicated thing. People aren't numbers or monetary resources to be added to a balance sheet - if you want to grow a customer base for a small local business, it is done through a thousand personal relationships. Repeat business is worth more than a single billing cycle.I called Cliff's because my water heater was full of mineral scale, they hooked up a shop-vac to it and emptied out the scale and I paid my bill - however immediately after that it started to leak. I called them back a little while later and asked about the leak. They sent around the same guy and what looked like a trainee. They were here for like 3 minutes and put a cap on the heater drain.Now, we had spoken of them installing a new hot water heater for me, and I figured they were interested in that kind of repeat business because it would be a lot of money.But no, the bill came. $90 for the call, $4.55 for the hose cap - and an extra $25 for the kid who stood there and did nothing for the couple minutes it took them to walk into and then out of my house.It's that last charge that sealed it for me. I have been in customer relations for most of my professional career, and I've never seen a bill so ridiculous.I fixed your thing in like 90 seconds

Disgraceful company. They charged me $135 for an hour's labour for two agents on an unscheduled visit to my RV when I was not present. Their intention was to take a look" at a dual propane regulator installation which I had already described (including full original part details) which was faulty and which I had asked them to replace. It would have taken one person five minutes to see what the original installation looked like

Arrived quickly, polite, professional and they really know their stuff. Definitely my new go to for any future plumbing needs. Highly recommend.

Terrible experience. Old Lennox furnace blew up. Spent overnight in the hospital for carbon monoxide testing. Contacted Cliff's re the furnace as per the fire department. Found out that the faulty part was replaced once before. Asked for the replacement date since this was done before I purchased the home. Also asked for the maintenance records. Have not received any information to date. Ended up purchasing a furnace with another company as Cliff's tried to sell me a new furnace that hadn't been tested on the market yet. After spending the night in the hospital, I wanted a reliable new furnace. They also charged me $100 to read the carbon monoxide levels on the old furnace, but did not provide the report or documentation as requested. I contacted them to discuss the $100 bill as they sent someone to do this as a courtesy since the furnace blew up. Have not received a response to date and just keep receiving the bill.

My business has relied on Cliff’s several times, the most recent being this morning. I am always pleased with the quality of work. They’ve bailed us out on short notice often in the past. I’m happy to rely on These guys to keep us up and running.

We hired this company to complete plumbing on a kitchen and apartment install in our new home. We received a quote for coats and I was specific on quote as tight budget. Job wasn’t even 1/3 of way done and received a bill for way more than the quote . Owner was not good to work with. We had to Involve a lawyer and was told “ do not pay any more than what we had already”. We also had some duct work done at the same time which was a different invoice which we paid in full. We have come to discover that the vents were not hooked up properly and dryer vent had been blowing into the walls, which damaged our hardwood floors.wish I could attach a pictures of the quality of their work after we had to reopen new walls to repair their poor quality work. Notified company but did not get a response back. I do not recommend this company. Over bill and poor quality of work.

I left two messages and they never replied. It looks like Edwards will do our gas conversion.
