Matthews used to be amazing. My family had taken our various pets there for over a decade and only ever had great experiences.The vet that we saw, however, left the practice several years ago, and the quality of the service has decreased significantly in that time. The day they moved to an automated phone system and started doing callbacks was the day we parted ways.If you're going to make people leave a message and wait for a callback, you won't be in business very long when the callbacks take 2+ hours. The crew over at Stoneybrook answered their phone and got us an appointment before Matthews even called us back.Good luckEdit to add - finally got a callback FOUR HOURS later (after we had already been to and come home from another office) and they didn't even bother to leave a voicemail. Downgraded from 2 stars to 1. Horrific service.

Was in there for a total of 20 minutes as my very old dog had an eye infection.Dr. did an apparent test on the dogs eye, but he took the dog out of the examining room I was in with him, to another room, comes back in 30 seconds later to get the tools he needed for the test. Why he took him to the other room in my eyes was for pure deception, so he could charge me more. Then he returned with my dog literally 2 minutes later... He didn't know I followed him out & watched him...perform the test"Then

My dog hurt her leg and wasn't putting weight on it. They got me in the same day, determined she didn't need xrays (they offered to do them if i wanted but didnt want me to spend the money if i dont have to)and gave her some medicine. I also got her shots, it was the cheapest vet apt I've ever had.

Took our puppy in for her vaccinations last year. They're great. The care club plans take all of your standard yearly prevention care and divide the price into affordable payments. I have used a similar plan for years at my other vet and love it- it's never a question of money for blood or urine tests because I've already paid for it. If you're raising a pet on a budget, I strongly recommend this option.The only reason I didn't give 5stars is location...it's awkward pulling in and out due to the location of their driveway.

My dogs are well cared for by the team here. My brother brings his dog here as well. The staff did a great job recently when neutering my male dog. They gave me updates throughout the day, and then also checked in the next day as well. The care they provide is exceptional, and I definitely would never trust anyone else with my dogs the way I trust Matthews Animal Hospital!

I cannot say enough great things about this clinic. It’s incredibly clean and the staff will do anything to ensure you and your pet are comfortable. My puppy contracted an eye infection and I was super anxious about her health and the price of the visit. It was incredibly reasonable and I left feeling much lighter. Thanks guys!

Very friendly receptionist, tech and veterinarian. They were very helpful with assisting me and my dog with my two small children that I had with me as well. Fair prices and they got me in promptly for my appointment!!

Took my dogs and cats here. Super friendly and very imformative. My old dog thinks its the greatest place on earth.

I live close by and despite not personally taking my dog here, I know that Mathews is always very busy with alot of people/pets coming to and from. I have had pleasant interactions while walking by with Staff members who were outside at the time. I know many people in the past who have taken there pet to Mathews and have always had a positive experience. I know that the Veterinarian has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience over the past 25+ years working in the community. The only downfall is the services are a bit pricey for the average pet owner, but that being said, you get what you pay for! I can totally understand why people choose to spend there money at Mathews versus another Veterinarian/Animal Hospital.

The Staff are amazing and very accommodating. My pet needed to be checked out and they fit him in that day. Thank you Matthew's for your excellent care!!!
