Dr. Hook Towing

Dr Hook are nothing but con artists and crooks! Called them at 830pm and told them I had a popped tire and was missing the jack and arm to drop my spare. They assured me they could drop my spare and change it for me and would be there in an hour. More than 3 hours later they finally show up and tell me they can only tow me and will charge me 4x more than they quoted me on the phone. So they say they can help, make you wait until you are as desperate as possible, and then they try taking as much money from you as possible. I refused to be scammed so they drove off and left my wife and I stranded in -30.

Dr. Hook help me out remove the truck inside my property. I have been tried different government agencies including the police only Dr. Hook solve the issue with ease.

They hit our fence while picking up a sea can for one of our tenants. I talked to them they said they would fix it. Four months pass by I call to follow up on why our gate is still damaged. They are now refusing to fix the gate they damaged.

Have used Doctor Hook in the past and called to get a quote on some transport shipping on their flatdeck trucks. We got a quote from their employee. Then we asked if we can get a deal if we get two full loads shipped up and they said to contact the manager. We reached out to the manager and he said No Deals and increased the price $450 per trip on the quote and laughed at us on the phone. We deal with lots of businesses and this place has turned into a joke on how they treat customers.

Excellent, kind, calm service! Whenever I’ve had to pick my car up from these guys, they make the bad experience of getting your towed feel not quite as terrible.

Had to change the rating due to a horrible experience today. Through a series of unfortunate events, one of my client's had their vehicle impounded. Our company has an account with Dr. Hook, and our company was going to pay for the release of the vehicle. I contacted our company's Executive Assistant, and requested a bank draft to have the vehicle released from impound. Since we do business with them frequently, I was issued a P.O. number, which is how all of our business and payment processing with Dr. Hook is normally done, and was told that I could not pay with my company account. I'm at the impound with my client and the woman behind the counter refused to help at all, becoming so enraged she was pounding her fist on the counter and then came out from the around the sheild and seperation and got in my face.I was told there was no management available to figure out the issue, and the vehicle could not be released. After trying to intimidate me, the woman went back around the glass and refused to assist me. I went outside and contacted my management, who were not working, got a company card number and paid.We use Dr. Hook EXCLUSIVEY. We are their client. They did not offer any assistance, or solution. They did not even say that the impound fees would stop. If the drivers weren't as awesome as they are, I'd ask for a different service provider.The young man behind the counter, Ethan I believe, AMAZING service on the phone and in person. Shout out to Noli and the drivers providing awesome support ensuring we have vehicles for our customers!The following is from the 5 star review I left a month ago, and normally what the service is like:I called into dispatch one evening and got Noli who was able to coordinate a vehicle recovery in about 20 minutes. It took longer to secure the vehicle. Great service!

I have been using Dr. Hook for years and they are always prompt and courteous. My daughter needed them just recently and they were excellent! Thank you!

I had a flat tire on my vehicle after coming back from a month long trip. Dr Hook, although extremely busy gave me a 2.5 hour estimate to arrive. I scheduled a tow however after about 20 mins I caught a can to buy an air pump. I returned after a half an hour and was just calling to cancel the tow when the truck showed. They made a schedule change to get to me a little quicker. Although I did not need them I really appreciated that effort they made to help meI would recommend them anytime.

Brayden and hemming saved my day in the brutal snow storm today. My tire went flat from a nail at my job site right in the middle of the chaos on the north perimeter, they were right at the upcoming intersection and lifted up my truck and quickly helped me change my spare and I was off like nothing happened! Thanks a bunch guys!

Big shout out to your salvage crew sent out to help us with our sunk boat!First off....we were hopeless, I didn’t think to call a company known to tow cars. We spent hours googling seeking anyone to assist. I stumbled across a newspaper article about how dr hook came and saved a mans boat that sunk, they came across the wreck on social media and immediately went to the scene. I almost didn’t call thinking that was a one time thing, well we were WRONG. Dispatch was great. First person I spoke to in hours that didn’t panic and act like I wasn’t gonna get anywhere. Within mins a tech called me for info, advised me of the game plan and prepared to assist. It didn’t take long for a crew of 3 to arrive just under a hour away from Winnipeg. They had great attitudes and worked at a great pace. They went above and beyond to rescue the boat. They drained the water and even rowed it to shore. We had such an incredible experience today, and I’m so glad Dr Hook has always been my go to company for boost, tows, lock outs and now diving boat recovery crew for us anyway. Thanks Dr Hook crew for coming out and saving our boat. You took a lot of stress away from us and we are so pleased with the experience today.
