absolutely delicious!! popped in on vacation. it was our first time trying Ethiopian food and they took the time to help us decide. The food came out so fast and it was so delicious and filling. this is definitely a meal we’ll be dreaming about!

First time trying Real Ethiopian food! Was very impressed by the amazing flavours with the meat and veggie combo platter I got! The owner Kiki did an amazing job hosting me tonight, was very happy with my decision going in.Must try in Calgary if you are craving some amazing real home cooked food!

Ordered the vegetarian platter and the awaze tibs, extra injera of course.The tibs was good. Not too spicy and very saucy. A solid 3.5/5The star was the vegetarian platter! I despise cooked carrots and kale but somehow they made everything perfectly delicious.I think it’s good value for money as there was so much food that we failed to finish in one sitting. We had just ordered fries for our little guy and they were out so that was disappointing for him.Mostly definitely will get the vegetarian platter again many times over!

We got the meat and veggie platter, which would have been good for 3 people. Everything was delicious and service was friendly. Although you can ask for a fork, you would traditionally eat the meal by ripping off a piece of the flat bread (injira), using it to scoop your food, then popping the whole thing into your mouth. We’ll definitely be returning and would like to try the coffee ceremony next time.I read that it’s considered rude to eat with your left hand or to reach across the platter for a food item on the other side. Instead, the platter should be spun towards you before accessing the food. We thought placing the platters on a Lazy Susan would help with that.Long story short, we’ll definitely be back and think others should give this restaurant a try. Yum!

The food is amazing! Went with a big group and we shared a huge platter. You can truly taste the love that is put into the food! I highly recommend!

Overall had a decent experience at GEEZ. We've tried Ethiopian food in other restaurants in Calgary, and found the options to be more plentiful.I will say that the prices are reasonable, and you do get a decent amount of food for the cost. Location is convenient, and restaurant is tastefully decorated.

WOAH! The food here was amazing, and the prices are very good! We got the mixed platter and not only did we get stuffed at dinner from it, but had 3 lunches as well! I could not recommend this place more!

An absolutely AMAZING find. Do not let the outside fool you, inside you will find an immaculate, stylish and super comfortable dining space. The staff is delightful and happy to give you recommendations on what to order. So friendly and we would come back for that alone. BUT THE FOOD!!!! This review is shamelessly gushing over the food because it was literally the best. The spices, the sauces, the freshness, the BREAD. Cannot recommend this enough. We got the vegetarian platter and awaze tibs. First, so much food! Second it was delicious. Third, the BREAD. Eat here. It’s so good. That’s all you need to know. I wish I had a picture but we ate it fast and I missed out.

Food taste great but prices are not well advertised. Over 24$ for a side plate of rice and isn't specified on the menu. Seriously it is like not being honest with the customers. If you want customers to come back honesty is important. I will not go for another visit

Easily our favorite meal in Calgary. We came to town to relax and eat at as many ethnic restaurants as possible...... and this one was perfect.Best Ethiopian food I've ever had! I've had this cuisine before in other cities, but this was by far my favorite. After one bite of the Awaze Tibs, we agreed that this was hands down the best food we ate the whole trip. It was sort of spicy with notes of Italian herbs in the Tibs. Each side item was unique and could be a meal all on their own. I wish I lived closer and could eat here more often!
