UPDATE #2: Sadly Tim yet again you display your petty demeanour for everyone to see. You feel the need to comment on someone’s financial situation instead of accepting feedback. I find it hilarious you’re commenting on my family’s financial situation when you know nothing about us whatsoever and didn’t even bother to provide us with a quote in the first place. I’m wondering now if you just made an assumption about us before even providing us with a quote. Not that it’s any of your business and I find it unsettling you’re continuing to drive by our previous home however, you are correct about the fencing situation yes, the fence has not been erected as we have actually moved and purchased a larger detached home with a large lot in need of some new fencing. Again, I’ll be going to Rick at VIP Fencing for that as he was kind, helpful and informative when we reached out to him after dealing with you. Hello Tim, the reason you have a 3 star rating has become very apparent. I’m updating my review to one star now. It’s very unfortunate you felt that our ‘small project’ was a waste of your time, when you in fact wasted all of our time by even bothering to come out. Why not read the initial quote requests beforehand and deny the request before even bothering to come out? You also had many chances to tell us our ‘small project’ was a not worth your time either when you spoke to us at our home, when I texted and emailed you afterwards. Unfortunately for you, businesses rely on word of mouth and online reviews and it seems your disregard for business etiquette will leave you with fewer and fewer clients. Our hope is only that you come to realize you need to work on your communication skills and perhaps consider small projects as they will likely lead to bigger ones, for example when your clients move to larger homes and need bigger more expensive fences. And yes, I greatly thank RICK the wonderful gentleman and VIP FENCING who took the time to help us with our fencing needs, followed up and worked with us on a price as we are a young family. He will be referred to our friends and family moving forward. Thanks again Tim, for your honest response - others will be delighted to see how not worth their time you are and go elsewhere.Disappointed with the service here like others have posted, unfortunately. We were referred to Blue Dog by friends of ours who had a great experience and were looking forward to working with them. They came out, said they would ‘text us a quote’ and it’s been two weeks and nothing. I’ve emailed and texted asking for a follow up and no response. We’ve reached out to another company who has come, provided a quote and follow up within a week, so we are going forward with them. We understand our job wasn’t a huge job, but letting us know either when we can expect to hear or if you’re not interested would’ve been appreciated.

Tim came out to view job April 25 and get measurements for an estimate (after calling to cancel our original appointment). After multiple times following up as to when we might have a quote, we still haven't heard anything from them. I understand it's a busy season, but a simple email or call to let us know you are working on it, or simply don't want the job is better than dead air. Your 'potential' customers are busy people too, and don't appreciate the waste of time.

Of all of the fencing contractors I contacted, Tim showed up when he said he would, answered all of my questions quickly and honestly then offered me the best price. When the time came to have our fence installed his team showed up when they said they would, completed the job quickly and efficiently and cleaned up our yard before they left. Highly recommend!!

Installed some aluminium posts for us on the front porch. We also wanted some new roofing panels installed but it was taking Tim too long to source and price out the materials that we wanted so we decided to give that work to another contractor.Like any contractor you have to add about 50% to the lead time that they give you. The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They did manage to damage our existing roofing panels but I'm not that upset about it because I told them we were planning to change the panels anyway (and they really didn't want to take the time to remove the panels before installing the posts).The posts went in fine with only a few spots where the finish was scraped and will need a bit of touch-up paint.Keep in mind that this is a full price contractor. I estimate there was over 100% markup on the posts and then $50 per hour per worker (there were 2) to install.Overall I'd give Blue Dog 3.5 stars. However, in future I'll give WayMar a call for a quote as they are in the same price range but are in the top of their class.

I wanted to thank Tim on a wonderful job he did at my house and my in-laws. We had railings with a glass insert put in. We had previous quotes and Tim came in well below the others and quality and install was flawless. Very happy with both railings that were installed. Thanks again Tim !!!

Tim just finished our new deck last week. I must say it looks amazing.He build a composite deck with aluminum post and glass railing. He even helped us put the LED lights on the deck. The final product came out to be spectacular. We have gotten many compliments from our friends and family and neighbours.Although the project took a bit longer than original timeline but we will not hesitate to contact him for our next project.

Had Blue dog exteriors come in to replace our front porch railings. Got the work done as quoted. Their precision and attention to every little detail is great. The finished result is absolutely amazing. Thanks Tim and his team.

Tim seemed like a nice guy when my 80 year old mother contracted Blue dog, but when it was agreed to discontinue the deal after 5 months of waiting, Tim was not able to return the $2,150 deposit that he enjoyed interest free for that time. Now we’re going to have to talk in court. Disappointing.Update,: it’s been over a year that Tim has enjoyed an interest free loan from an unwitting 86 year old lady. The collection agency has had no success getting her money back. If you can’t reach in your pocket and pull out $2,000 that you owe someone, I would be very afraid to do any business in that arena.Rating…. Well, we’re out over $2,000, got nothing… is there a “no star” ?Notice that Tim’s responses are unusual lengthy and long winded… I think you can figure out what that’s about.I detest this kind of negativity in my world but I must defend my elderly mother. I hate that Tim has put me in this position of banter.

Called and asked for a quote on a back deck sun room. A representative came to the house, took measurements, asked questions and said he would e-mail me a quote. After a week and a half, I called asking if quote was available. Was told it would be sent. Two weeks later, I called again. They said Sorry, been busy but would get it to me. Two more weeks went by. Called yesterday, was told it would be e-mailed to me today. Now evening and no response. If it takes months to get a quote, imagine how long it will be to get the work done. Not impressed.
