Stouffville Martial Arts Academy

After moving to Richmond Hlll a couple of months ago, I've been looking for a Martial Arts school that would be within a 20 min to half hour drive.Having been into the martial arts for 15 years, I've been to four schools, all in Toronto. A friend of mine suggested I try a place out in Stouffville called, Stouffville Martial Arts. I asked if I can sit in to watch a couple of classes & was kindly welcomed by the lady at the front desk.I must say, these guys definitely know how to teach & have patience which you do not find in most other clubs.I spoke with Craig & Tyler who turned out to be a couple of down to earth, genuinely good guys. I highly recommend this school!

Our whole family are members: my hubby, my two boys, I am and soon our youngest will be joining when he's 3 years old.Anne, Amanda, Master Craig and Master Tyler are wonderful caring individuals who help our children to develop good morals and discipline along with technique and focus. I'm friends with many parents who are either members themselves or whose children are members. And some of my friends are parents of children with Autism who are members. Karate and the support of these individuals have helped these children as well to develop focus and confidence. Their wholistic approach to Karate is very inspiring. If you are thinking of enrolling your children or joining as an adult, try a class and see for yourself how amazing Stouffville Martial Arts Academy truly is!

I completely disagree with the person who dismissed the school for how it handles kids with anxiety. I have seen several children with behavioral issues in the classes and the instructors, especially Sensei Tyler, are very patient with the students. Yes, students who are disrupting class are given a number of warnings before being asked to sit out. They are told that if they continue their misbehavior they will have to sit out. It is after all a Martial Arts school, which is suppose to instill self control and self discipline. The folks at this school are all wonderful people.

A family run martial arts school that enforces respect and discipline in a fun and structured environment. I'm so impressed with the confidence and self respect my Logan has gained through the lessons. The instructors care about their students' success in becoming great material artists and more importantly great members of society. Thank you sensei Craig, Ty and Anne!

I cannot say enough good things about Stouffville Martial Arts Academy! Anne, Master Craig and Sensei Ty are all so wonderful! Our two daughters have been attending karate classes for over a year now and they are so happy and their love of karate continues to grow! Both Sensei Ty and Master Craig are great instructors and the passion they both have for Karate is demonstrated in every class my girls attend! Its a true family business and they work hard to make sure the kids have a great experience at every class! I would highly recommend Stouffville Martial Arts Academy!

Without reservation, the most prestigious centre in York Region. A beautifully run family business by real professionals. Outstanding Covid-19 precautions taken and handled SO well ( being in business during a pandemic is not easy, but this family works hard to ensure all the participants are safe and protected). The masters: Craig and Tyler are phenomenal. Their standards and expectations are admirable. They only want whats best and strive to produce REAL results. They are solid role models and educators.My son cannot wait to go to karate because he feels safe, supported, and respected. Anne is also fantastic! She runs such a busy environment and does it seamlessly. Wonderful centre!

From when you walk into the facility, to when you’re learning on the mats, the service here is incredible. This is a family run operation that does a remarkable job of making you feel welcome. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the facility is clean and the instructors have a world of knowledge that they are happy to share. The service can not be matched. I would highly recommend training here!

We learned about Stouffville Martial Arts through word of mouth. We decided to try it out and our son absolutely loves it here. Master Craig, Master Tyler and Anne are all very warm and welcoming and are extremely sensitive to my son’s needs as he has Childhood Apraxia of Speech. We have noticed a tremendous improvement in his self-confidence and language development and we love the many age appropriate skills that they introduce. We are super grateful for all they have taught our son and we will truly miss them.
