Many delicious flavors can be found here, but there was issues with the temperature of the food when served when we tried it.It's a very nice atmosphere to sit and eat in. Elegant yet casual.Smoked olives 3 starsI wasn't as impressed with these olives. There were ok, but not something I would order again.Lettuce wraps 4.25 starsThe flavor on the sambal chicken was excellent. It was a little tough though.Campfire Cauliflower 4.5 starsThis should be a 5 star item but it was served lukewarm.Duck fat poutine 4 starsStandard poutine. It was good but it didn't stand out for me .Braised beef brisket 4 starsI'm big into BBQ, but this was missing something for me. It made me think of the poutine.Chicken wings split into two sauces 4 stars?Bbq sauce was fantastic in flavorLemon pepper they made for us even though it wasn't on the menu.The issue was it was lukewarm.Fish and chips 4 starsThis was the one item served hot tonight.The portion size was huge.I would have preferred if the batter was a little crispier. The fries are not really salted, which is better than being over salted.Gingered pear 4 starsI loved the fact that have a small non alcoholic offering. The drink itself was fine, but not something I would order all the time.Service started off strong but our quality check never came during the apps and it came near the end of the meal.We had issues with the temperature of the food but we were starving and by the time she came back it was a mute point.The service itself was friendly and professional when there.

Very calming and aesthetically pleasing environment with delicious food.They have an area where they dim the lights so low that you can barely read the menus. Apparently it's an ambiance thing but I found it incredible odd. They were quick to offer us a new location, though, which we appreciated.I had the gnocchi and it was scrumptious.

Not the best in terms of flavour. The duck fat poutine was extremely bland. It was cold on top, super hot in the middle. The tavern cheeseburger was pretty good, especially the pickles! The service was slow, and our waitress only visited once to refill our drinks. Food arrived after 55 minutes. The waitress also seemed to give priority to a group that arrived after us, one wearing a sweater of the attached hotel (presumably an owner). She had cleaned their tables even though we had waited for approximately 20 minutes. Poor service, mediocre food. However, the atmosphere was wonderful. Not the best if you’re looking for flavourful food.

An awesome place to celebrate any occasions here. The place has a warm ambience that you’ll feel delighted while you’re enjoying their eccentric and delectable dishes. My buddy and I had an amazing and enjoyable night in this place while catching up. Looking forward to try more interesting dishes next time.Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5

First time trying The Wood Tavern's food, wanted a big juicy burger so I got The Wood Burger, well it wasn't juicy at all, very dense, skimpy on the lettuce, tiny tomato and I couldn't even taste the hickory bacon ranch at all and to me my burger patty was burnt, not worth 22$ that's all I tasted was burnt. Fries were crispy and the wings were alright, the sauces I got were good, honey dill and some honey mustard I think? The taste just fell flat and charred.@TheWoodTavern, Thanks for the response, I did make an issue on Skip and it wasn't full filled. Thanks@TheWoodTavern, thank you but you didn't have to do that, nothing yet. I appreciate the gesture.

Place is nice and cozy! Looking for a place to get a brunch with my friends.Restaurant seems understaffed. We had to wait for long time to get our food and to get attended.Food was not super great and the drinks.Portioning and presentation is not really appealingServer is not aware of what we ordered and charged us wrong. They charged us less plus wrong items.

May 2023 update - went for dinner and was still as good as last time. Food and service was excellent.Great atmosphere, great service and food was awesome. Can't wait to return.

Dined here with a couple girlfriends the other evening. The restaurant is located in The Norwood Hotel. The restaurant itself is renovated and it looks great! The server, Alice, was very attentive and friendly. I got the Tacos and they were delicious. My girlfriends got the lettuce wraps and both added the protein to it. The portions for the lettuce wraps were tiny. Everything came in separate dishes and you had to construct it your own. Definitely recommend adding the protein because it is a very small portion.All in all it was really good, and I would be back!
